Ascended, Vastaya, and Targon

For the most part, I'm just throwing up my thoughts here, so I don't entirely expect people to follow what I'm saying.

Which came first, Ascended or Vastaya? We have the Void War which sent people to Ionia, which makes me think of Icatha and I believe ascension should be around that time. But I could also see ascension having started because of the vastaya.

Reading Nami's lore, if the moon aspect created moonstones, perhaps the sun aspect had something to do with the sun disk?

Who's stronger in general: Ascended or Vastaya?

Ascended are demigods imbued with power. Even Aurelion Sol comments, albeit sarcastically and dismissively, that they're on the right track when it comes to the greatest power.

Ascended, Vastaya aren't demigods. they can use magic, but not to an ascended's extent. However, as Vastaya are so broad a group, there may be some outliers who are stronger than ascended but NOT because they are vastaya, but because they are themselves.

The Aspects of Targon, they also fall into the 'Ascended' category but imo, they are of a completely different design, the Shuriman Ascendants gained their power from harnessed 'Celestial energy' in the Sun Disk. Whereas the Targonians enslaved Aurelion Sol and gained access to the cosmos and whatever celestial energy was there for the taking and thus the Aspects should be stronger than the Ascendants. Like you said it is likely the Sun disk was connected to the Sun Aspect at one point. That being said, the ascended are demi-gods and are the most powerful** human champions** in the game and hence would also out rank the Vastayan champions Nami may or may not be on their level.

Nasus Renekton Rammus Azir Xerath from Shurima, Pantheon (although he is much less humans than the rest) Leona Diana Taric from Targon and I would even rank Ivern here. Whenever we see a Void update we may get a better grasp to the void-influenced humans' power Kassadin Malzahar (I speculate that Jax and DrMundo are also void related/influenced humans).

I feel that acension is just a less refined version of becoming an aspect. In that Shurimans take a small portion of their power from Aurelions Sols power that is imbued into the sun. Kinda making them into smaller vessels of Aurelions power. While aspects are granted less power but they dont require a complex ritual that may or kay not fuck up.

I would argue that ascention came first, but that is only out of pure guessing. The ascention ritual came shortly after the runewars wich is very, very early in Runeterras history. While I would think that people would have discovered Ionia Before the runewars but the compination of the Vastayasharay (or whatever they are called) and human races got combined to the Vastaya. Not sure ofcourse though because Riot have not given any confirmation or timestamps
