To those who say Shen doesn't "act like a ninja."

There's so much you're missing. He is the best ninja out of any of the triumvirate, or Zed's band of edgelords, and there is no proof otherwise.

#But Mell-san, Shen doesn't even go invisible! How is he a ninja?

A ninja's job is to get to his target quickly , efficiently, and without much resistance. Stealth is a tool to use. However, when you can teleport anywhere you will in a few seconds, you don't need stealth. Especially when you can sense your targets from anywhere.

#But Melle-san, Shen doesn't avoid hits, he tanks them! No ninja would do that!

Shen does tank hits, yes. But the way he tanks them is similar to Wing Chun, in which you redirect the blows rather than take them head-on. His shield and ki barriers, as well as realm manipulation allows him to negate damage. His armor is to protect him from flurries of attacks from legions of spirits, since realm manipulation does not help him as much.

He is more evasive and smart with his defense rather than being heavily armored and tough, like Darius or Leona.

#Mell-sama, what about that giant glowing sword? He's more like a Fairy Tale character rather than a ninja with that!

Pulling a sword through a person to slice through their spirit is so god damn ninja they won't even know what killed the person since there won't be a single cut. However Shen realizes this fucks over the person in their next life and just kills them normally.

#Mell, can I call him Shenpai?

Yes. It is a form of respect. But don't you dare touch him. He's mine.

#Aren't ninjas supposed to be quick? Why does he walk around smacking people with a sword instead of leaping at them or throwing stuff like the other ninjas?

He has a dash, so that's something. Additionally, Shen realistically does not need anything but a sword because he does not need to worry about range, stealth, armor, or deception. He can teleport in, silently apologize, slit a guy's throat, and move to his next target.

#Why is he called the Eye of Twilight?

Well, Shen is called that beca- wait. You bastard. You're asking me this stuff so you can get close to him.
