Anyone else sill frustrated with Leona's origin changes?

Frankly, it feels like the pushed through a half-assed project and then dropped it like a bad habit. There has been no follow up stories or real explanation for the degree of her personalty twisting we saw. Is it me, or does it feel like they want us to forget it. Honestly, the whole issue with Victor that recently cropped up just reminds my of the issues I have with the Leona update.

EDIT

I want to add some context using quotes from her old lore that were what I really liked about Leona when she came out

"Leona's parents were traditional Rakkorans, both bred for the heat of battle. To them, Leona was a problem child. She was capable of fighting as fiercely as any other - including her childhood friend, Pantheon - but she did not share their zeal for killing. She believed that the true worth of a soldier lay in her ability to defend and protect."

"When it came time for her Rite of Kor, a ceremony in which two Rakkoran teens battle to the death for the right to bear a relic-weapon, Leona refused to fight"

These two instance really stood out to me of her own character being that of not just a ruthless savage individual, but someone who believed that fighting was not always the best approach.

As for her new lore. She contains none of this.

I'm still not fond of the shift of Diana from a tragic villain who was pushed too far to another misunderstood good guy. The main Targon trio in general didn't come off the lore rework machine too well.

"No follow up"

I can't really expect a follow up story until the rest of the groundwork is laid out for the world.

I'll just chime in I truly hate the new Targon lore.

Except, Taric. I'll admit his is actually pretty good. It unfortunately requires the others to function so it ultimately isn't worth it to me.

What do you mean? I thought it was pretty clearly explained that a celestial being took over her body/merged with her. Also, the nice Leona we knew was never actually canon. It was just the community building up her character because of the lack of lore.

Targon needs a part 2 and we know that. To me it was a lot better than the first chapter of Shurima and I liked most of it.

I understand how ppl who invested in the "old" Leona find themselves lost about this new one (I was a Xerath main), but I also think that you should wait with your judgement because the change of the core of targon stories is pretty heavy and cannot be explained completely in a single chapter.

Keep your feedback up, that's never a bad thing.

Added context to my statement

It's another view of her, and a better fleshed out one at that. It was a little odd for me too, but I understand and respect what they were going for.

Well how many stories did get a follow up so far? Usually stories only get one if there is some sort of event and since there was no targon event since their lore updates, there was no follow up either.

I mean you could also argue that there is no follow up to the lores of Amumu Elise Skarner Yorick Maokai Renekton ,etc.

Also what do you mean that we don't know about her personality twisting? Its pretty clear in her lore, that she grew a bit zealous during her time with the solari(being ready to kill diana and all) and when she merged with the aspect of targon she received new information that changed her opinion on that matter. We don't know what these information are,but we know that they are the reason for her change of heart.
