Good undead vs Evil undead: Watch their color.

Hi all. I wanted to talk about a detail i've notice that separates good undead and death based champion from evil ones that have ties to the shadow isles. and that is good undead/death based champions like and have a blue hue while have a sickly green glow/hue or if they are (Proto)noxian have no glow but red eyes instead like ( and are exceptions, Karthus's steely-blue hue could be due to him being misguided, while Evelynn as usual, is a mystery.)

So it could be possible that any death based champion that are good by nature have a blue hue to signify that they are noble while the others are not. Food for thought.

Uhm Kindred isn't an undead. They are death themselves.

I Said undead or death based champions. Also I was speaking loosely because I didn't want to create info overload. Hecarim has a bluish-green hue, but it's still green enough to fit my own description. Also. Kalista is technically good, since she is becoming vengeance itself. She may not be 100% good but she sure as hell ain't malevolent.

Well but there isn't really much to your theory. Hecarim is clearly blueish(more or less the same glow that Kalista has),meaning that thresh is the only really green shadow isles champion.

Meanwhile Karthus goes against your theory,as you yourself already said and Kindred aren't good,they are neutral.

In general I think that blue,green and red are simply colors that fit undead champs quite well and thats why riot uses the colors for them.

Well there is merit it what I am saying, it's not clear cut but I wouldn't say this unless there is some reason for it.

Kalista and Hecarim have a bit of blue and green to varying degrees. The only way I can accourding to my own theory why Hecarim has some blue color could be related to fact he ain't a torturous prick like Thresh and "just" brutally kills people for the sake of battle and values his fellow ghost troops the ride with him. While the Greenish tint that Kalista has is due to the lingering corrupting that the shadow isles has on her.

Only Kindred Maokai and Yorick are pure death based/Shadow Isle related Champion. Hell Yorick's ult. The Maiden of the mists Has a sickly green "head" unlike Yorick who has blue skin. All which could indicate that Corruption to death is based on how green or blue they are, If they are blue, they represent natural death/life If they are Green, they are representation to rot and undeath.

Some people consider demanding vengeance as evil, though. The question if Kalista is good, neutral or evil is not that easy.

It's safe to say She is neutral-good going full-on Neutral. She is giving people a choice and she is still somewhat in control. But she is on the path to becoming vengeance incarnate and vengeance can be good or bad depending on how accurate it is. misguided vengeance is a %%%% of a thing.

I still think that it is not that easy. Even in "accurate" cases, you can make the argument that vengeance is always a bad or evil thing.

Just because you have a reason to take revenge doesn't automatically make it the right thing to do. Hatred always leads to just more hatred. And giving people a choice doesn't change anything. The devil himself gives you the choice to take his offer or not. Would you consider the devil neutral or good?

In this case, you should categorise it as lawful. The person has rules to follow (giving you the offer and the partner has to willfully accept it), but that doesn't determine if you are good or evil.

And the whole vengeance story is not that easy to put in a category in my opinion.

True. Vengeance is bitch say if it's good or bad, but that is why I said that Kalista is going from being a neutral-good being into a truly neutral entity. You are right, even aimed vengeance can be a bad thing if it's from a prick, but misguided vengeance is always bad. Kalista is still giving to those that have been betrayed so she ain't going to target people willy-nilly yet.

I wouldn't really call Kalista "good". She is offering revenge to people, but she is claiming their soul for her collective as a reward for it.

And she is granting this revenge just against traitors, since she has a personal background for it. It is her personal hatred making her doing this, not the urge to "do justice".

Yeah Kalista's not really good or evil. I think what he means by "good" is that she's definitely better than most other shadow isles champs, as unlike Thresh who mercilessly collects your soul and tortures you for eternity, you have a choice with Kalista.

That is like saying Kayn should be added to Noxus because he was born there.

Basically Amumu is undead, but he doesn't have any strong ties to the main faction of undead, The Shadow Isles.
