*as in buying it specifically so you/people can see the artwork in the loading screen, not so much "I don't know what the actual skin looks like but it has a good splash so it probably looks good in game too"

No, I buy skins for the in-game model and particle effects.
A really cool splash art will definitely give me that extra push to buy a skin. I really love the new BM Diana splash art, one of my favorites really, but I don't play Diana & couldn't justify spending 10 dollars on something I would never use.
I won't buy a skin for the splash, but I will pass on a skin because I don't like the splash. I'm weird.
I don't buy them specifically for splashes, I mean some have pretty epic splashes so it does I guess go into the decision part of it but more so I buy them for what they look like in-game.
