On Viktor's attempt to kill Jayce

I don't see it as a villain's act. Here's why:

Viktor had the time to study the crystal and knew how powerful it was, as he is just as smart as Jayce (if not smarter). The second he saw the hammer with a piece of it, he knew how much power Jayce was bringing to stop him. He also felt how big of a threat Jayce was. By bringing such a devasting weapon, Jayce clearly stated that he wasn't there to be reasoned with, but rather to force Viktor to back of from the Glorious Evolution or die.

Viktor knew that sending the robots with the order to restrain Jayce would only end up with their destruction and his death.Full force was required, otherwise the Glorious Evolution would be at stake. And the Evolution was all that he had left. He was exiled from his homeland, he lost all the influence and fame he worked for. He gave up his humanity for the Glorious Evolution. And then Jayce shows up and tries to take the only thing he has away from him. Again.

Jayce basicly gave Viktor an ultimatum by bringing the hammer. Viktor only answered at the same level, even though he would rather have Jayce as an allied and a friend once more.

Of course, we get that through Jayce's PoV and the events are tainted by his arrogance and self-righteousness.
