It's probably more of a "I heard it as a rumor, so therefore it is true" kind of deal. Or maybe it's one-sided where Ez likes her, but Lux isn't into it.
I think the deal is that they want to actually write the meeting of the two in a short story rather than it just being a thing that we never saw the establishment of.
