So if Fiora had her lore expanded, will Trundle get one too?
Trundle's rewrite has always been controversial. Turning a sympathetic character into a stereotypical power-hungry lackey, maybe there can be a way to merge these stories together.

Everyone's gonna get an expanded story as we've seen with Fiora, so it's highly likely, but he's probably not gonna be getting one for a while as there's folks who sorely need it more, like Nocturne, Fiddlesticks, Malphite and so on.
I'd imagine a Trundle expanded lore would speak more to what growing up was like, the process of him becoming the Troll King and then leading on to where he went from there that made him infamous in Freljord.
Keep in mind of course that old Trundle and new Trundle are alike only in name and species. New Trundle is essentially a new character and any new lore for Trundle will be to cater to his current demeanor and not his old one.
Old Trundle would've fit in the new story, but instead a new character was made to fit the new story. These two characters are different, they have different personalities and traits. Merging them will simply create a third character.
On top of that, the new guy has been around long enough so that people may have gotten attached to the new character. Removing the new character would be just as big a mistake as removing the old one was.
