Riven - The Woman, The Myth, The Legend

So a little background. I had multitude of friends who were into this game during season 1. I personally had tried playing but never found it appealing. I suppose at the time I was a major fighter game player and this game just felt a bit slow, clunky, and overall unpleasant. So I dropped it only after a few games. Then Riven was announced. My buddy had watched her champion spot light and forwarded it on to me. I immediately fell in lover with the character. I like her style, concept, look, and gameplay. She had a lot in what I enjoyed playing in other games. So of course I picked her up and started playing her.

At first she was kind of buggy. The animation just felt off, and her damage seemed very low for what she was designed and itemazation at the time just wasn't suited for her. But I stuck it out and as she was buffed, I saw much more potential. I eventually learned her animation cancel and being a fighting game player, I started to really enjoy the overall feel of the character and what she can do. Now even after all this time she is still my favorite champion to play.

So I wanted to make a thread for all those Riven mains who enjoy her as much as I do. As such, to kick off the conversation, what about her backstory/concept/style/look that has drawn you to play her as a main?

I really like the loner cliche'. I know it is an over used trope but it has a certain appeal the some can relate to.
