I really like the gameplay design of the new Swain, just pretty disappointed in his character design. Imagine if Lee Sin was reworked to no longer be blind, and have long blonde hair.
Lee sin being blind is shown in his kit, as he has sound based abilities Swain, on the other hand, has no abilities relating to being a cripple, so removing it really isn't a huge part of his identity
Also pretty disappointed that he doesn't fully turn into a giant demon bird.
As i already said somewhere else, i believe full trasnformation is a no-no.
basically, it is a fully functional model for a skill that lasts few seconds and that has to deal with all the nuances of display ( how it interacts graphically with spells and spell effects, animation, skins and so on). which honestly it's a little wasted, given it's all resources that could be used somewhere else. It was a problem even before his rework, since it blocked him for having many skins. For sure they won't add one after.

I am not a Swain main or fan by any point, but i can at least say this with some certainlity. However i sympatize with you, especially the lack of a cane, but i don't think it is horrible - this is clearly done with something in mind.
