Do you think Jarvan will ever see an improvement in the art department such as new voice and model? Or is he doomed because his gameplay is fine? Not just Jarvan but like champions like Caitlyn as well. Although Jarvan is my interest because of his importance in lore.
I hope so. He could be SOOOO badass with an art update ( not happening anytime soon though) or with a legendary skin. Which I think will be great. Especially given that he’s played every year in LCS. It is a little weird he doesn’t get any love
Eventually every champion will become outdated at one point as long as the game is still running and doing fine.
So yeah Jarvan would eventually get a visual update(which would likely come with a gameplay update,even if they don't have to change a lot in terms of gameplay).
However he likely won't get an update anytime soon.
Because as you said,he is mostly fine in terms of gameplay and visually he isn't too bad either. The only reason why riot might even consider giving him a visual update at any point would likely be his thematic,as his theme is kind of a mix of a frontline commander,prince and guy in dragon armor,but I feel like he doesn't excel in any of these themes that strongly.
But even with that in mind I think it is safe to say that he won't get a visual update in the next 3 years or so.
I love that you mentioned Caitlyn as well. I do want some changes..but on her kit. I guess this is the wrong section xD She's my main adc and I absolutely love her, but I never felt like a sheriff while playing her at all. As for the VO, I like the "goofy-polite" vibe she has..I also like how she looks (because reasons) but again, doesn't look like a sheriff. I'm torn.. [sg-soraka] I guess Riot can start updating her Officer skin, very unpleasant to watch and play imo
Plenty of fans make visual updates for champs.
Riot just doesn't want our help.
