Is the VU team dead?
We haven't had any champion updates for a couple of patches now. No MTU's, no full VU's and no splash updates. Has the team disbanded and people relocated to the much more important Chroma skin team?

Champion Update Team is alive and well, and they are currently working very hard on several projects! They still have a long list of champs that need various tiers of updates. As far as MTU's go, all the teams planned MTU's have been completed. Hopefully this was helpful! :3

Near completion now.
Recent kit update, VU pushed back.
New kit is 90% complete but will not be shipped out until VU. "potentially" out by the end of the year.
Currently experimental kit, VU to accompany it.
Recently re-prioritized and is now being worked on. Still a long ways out.
They're all working on Poppy.

The team that did the VUs is the same team that does all types of champion updates, hence them being called Champion Update Team. So they've got a lot of stuff they are doing, like the Ashe rework that's coming up. So just cause there's no VU/MTU type updates for awhile doesn't mean they are gone.
I think the next upcoming VU was gonna be for Gangplank. Not really sure, don't quote me on this, but yeah.
A red post a few days ago stated that they are working on Poppy and Taric.
