It was more a political thing than a love thing if I recall correctly. A "unite the people" type of deal.

we still cant be sure how this is going to work out since the idea of them being married was because of Riot's CEO getting married to his fiance and riot is not allowing the real world to effect the story as much as they did before.

it could be removed completely and they both get a reworked lore. it could be the same just extend it further. or could be just ignored. all i know for certain is that ashe didn't marry him for love she is too cold for that kind of thing , and i bet she did it for his barbarians due to her fear of sejuani's retaliation.

It was always a political marriage first, but some red said that they could (doesn't mean they would) develop their relationship further.

Honestly, I don't think Ashe is scared by Sejuani's retaliation; she is simply haunted to reunite the Freljord. She married Trynda only for this.

i mean she let these barbarians in then decides to marry their leader to unite their land? this whole plan reeks of desperation. she already allowed them to take refuge there, that should have been enough reason for them to follow her, she gave them a home.

i just like to think sejuani scare her cause she and her tribes are just too powerful.and sejuani got nothing to lose.thats dangerous enough on its own. all those clans turned their back on her.she got the right to be the queen as much as ashe and lissandra but those girls just keep on going with their plans without caring about what she wants. and i agree with sejuani.ashe plans of "peace" and reuniting the land is just pure nonsense.

Yup, who can threaten her cause will probably frighten she and maybe become a bit unstable.

For me, Ashe is like Lux with the new lore: has a double face. In one, you see as it is shown in front of people, like is it in game: always serene, determined, jokesome a positive girl. In other what she does not show: depressed, worried about failing, guilty of guilt, crushed by the weight of responsibility, well the opposite.

Honestly it always seemed a bit weird,since Tryndamere actually looks like he'd fit much better into the winters claw-tribe. I mean the wrath-filled barbarian joins the peaceful Avarosa and not the battle hungry winters claw?

Don't get me wrong,I'm not saying that he should be retconned into being Sejuanis husband or something like that,but I do hope that this will be adressed when he gets a new lore.

Probably Ashe has convinced him somehow(do not think wrong), in my imagination she is good with the talk. Maybe she said "dude, marry me and you can have honorable enemies to fight." Just a stupid example.

Back during the Great Retcon and the subsequent Freljord lore changes, Riot stated that Ashe and Tryndamere were indeed still married. Given that it's still a popular lore point with the community (in the same vein that KatxGaren is), I doubt that Riot would remove it.

If anything, I expect Riot to add a reference to the marriage in Tryndamere and Ashe's updated lore, once we get back to the Freljord. The lore changes they did for the Freljord a few years ago aren't up to current quality and I can definitely see Riot expanding them in the future.

I hope not, for as the other comments mention, the only obvious reason that peaceful Ashe would marry warlike Tryndamere would be political rather than romantic.
