Caitlyn....doesn't feel like a sniper.

Jhin feels like he fits the sniper archetype so much more than Caitlyn. Or at least the sharpshooter. I guess Caitlyn kinda fits the "never miss" sniper role with her ult? And the increased range is nice for the thematic. Her ult is fitting. But she kind of just doesn't feel like she fits the niche for some reason. Does anyone else feel this way?

Her character is definitely not built around what we would normally think of as a sniper. I'd honestly like her to get new voice lines that emphasize her role as sheriff, rather than the current set of accuracy themed remarks.

I agree, Caitlyn fails to deliver on the sniper fantasy.

Jhin on the other hand, does a great job of delivering on that sniper fantasy.

  • Long range abilities with time delay and aim.
  • Slow attacks and an ammo system so that you have to make each attack count.
  • A fetish for precision / perfection

It feels like she should be played in the jungle. Traps, a Net, Passive stacks while in a bush, Sniping from the trees. Did we just stumble on to something!? Ima try this. lol

They actually said that they made Jhin a sniper, because Caitlny didn't really fullfill the sniper fantasy well enough.

In general the main theme of Cait is being a sheriff, the sniper thing is just an additional theme.
