I wish when they hated a certain champion they would ignore them instead of ruin them. Please Riot if you don’t like certain champions just ignore them. Don’t erase them or use them to up your favourites...
It seems like the champions they ignore aren’t the ones they hate but the ones they are indifferent to.

If a writer doesn't like a champion, they'll probably pawn off the champion to another writer that does like that champ. And even if a writer intentionally tried to screw up a champ's lore, they'd have to run it through the team before it gets released.
Not to mention that typically unpopular champions like Aurelion Sol, Mordekaiser, Kindred, Urgot, etc. have gotten some of the best lores to date.
