Next champion soon?

Judging by the month-ish wait between a champion coming out and the next one being teased, is it safe to say that the next champion isn't far off? Any hints rito?

Well, for gameplay we know (From one of the recent Design/Q&A Streams) that Riot Harrow is the lead technical designer of our next champion. He was actually a writer at Riot previously, known for contributing to the stories of Hecarim, Jayce, Aatrox and others. He only started writing Kalista when he did the switch to Design (Which technically makes her his last writing project).

The champion Harrow is designing right now is also his first. I think that's really interesting, because we really don't know what to expect. :>

Well it's certainly not this pbe cycle, but yeah I can see it being soon. Maybe mid July.

I mean there really isnt a consistent timeline for when a champion is released. They have been pretty tight on how frequent a champion is released. I mean before we had about 2 per month, now its one every couple of months. which is nice. I understand the need for newer champions. But at a point especially now with over 120 champions its better that they focus on updating older champions before releasing newer champions!

The next champion will be designed by Harrow, or Iain Hendry. I believe that was confirmed a while ago. That's all I know, but since it's his first champion, I'm pretty hyped to see what he'll come up with ^^

I think it is possible. there were hints at a zaun/piltover event this year(though nothing certain,so this might be just my misinterpretation) and we know they are working on a new gamemode that seems kinda technology-themed. So it is possible that we have an event coming similar to the bilgewater one, where we get a fitting game mode together with the event.(and since we know that the next reworks will be Ryze and Yorick,it is safe to say that an event would be accompanied by a new champion this time around, not by a rework)

They release a champion between every

1 month 20 days and 2 months 20 days

sooo.

Taliyah was released 1 month ago so probably around the 18th of July, give or take 10 days.

Maybe Ryze's upcoming rework is coming out sooner than expected.
