So With the Current Lores and Reworked Champions...

Talon is the only human being to be able to go invisible. Evelynn used to look a lot more human, but now she's clearly some sort of demon/witch thing. Shaco is a doll instead of an actual clown, and Akali clearly drops something akin to a smoke bomb for her W. Even Zed , the fucking Master of Shadows, cannot actually wrap the shadows around himself and turn invisible. So, like, what gives? Why's Talon got this borderline supernatural shit going on? Like, even if he learned it from Kat's dad, shouldn't Kat also know how to pull it off? Well, I mean, not that Riot cares about lores anymore, but it IS kinda weird to think about.

Honestly I doubt that Talon can literally turn invisible. It is much more likely that the invisibility is just supposed to represent Talon using regular stealth.

I dunno, maybe since Talon is the second-best assassin in the world (The only better one was Lord Du Couteou), and he lived in the slums, he probably knows how to use his natural environment to disguise himself. Teemo does something similar with his camouflage.

Keep in mind that gameplay for champions isn’t canon. Garen doesn’t actually have the ability to call down a gigantic sword from the heavens in lore. Talon going invisible in game is just a way to represent that he is a particularly sneaky assassin. Same with Vayne, as she sure as hell wouldn’t be using any magic in lore.

I don't think the in-game stuff is supposed to be a one-to-one translation of their "irl" powers. Talon has stealth because he was General DuCouteau's stealth guy, his prodigy and his personal spy essentially. Katarina was a prodigy too, but leaned more towards more proper military training and combat. She's less a spy, more an assassin: she's gets in, does the job, and gets out, just like her gameplay. Talon can do this too, but he also covertly roams the streets of Noxus or something.

He was originally a street rat if I recall correctly, makes sense for him to have good "eyes and ears" on the street, too. One of the reasons I actually liked the addition of his wall jumping: felt like a skill a cornered street rat would develop.
