Okay, I'm not a religious nut, nor do I feel some negative way about this, but If she worships her God Nagakabouros, then why is she captain morganin on an Idol of him? Wouldn't that upset him?
Would you perch your foot on an Idol of Jesus on the cross?
It's a question I didn't think about until after I bought her, & started studying her moves, & a good build for her. Is there something I'm not seeing? If so, please explain.

I think that it's just a difference in how the religion is put together. Christianity is a community-oriented religion, so it needs a strong central figurehead to unite that community; with that in mind, it has a lot of built-in reverence for images of Jesus. Illaoi's religion, on the other hand is much more individually focused; because of that, it's all about the individual's relationship with Nagakabouros. If that relationship doesn't require reverence for a physical object, so be it.
The Eye of God as it's called allows Illaoi to function as the truth bearer; it's not an idol of worship but an instrument of Nagakabouros's power.

judging by her in game quotes, this isnt a typical god. it actually doesnt care for worship nor does it care if you praise it, it only cares that you fight. it is pretty much a god of war but doesnt care for servants.
