If Riven's story is ever retconned, how's about taking a note from Sabine Wren (Star Wars Rebels)?

Looking at the most recent episodes for Star Wars Rebels, I think Riot could go in an interesting direction with Riven (or a new Champion if they want to keep Riven's story the same) by creating a parallel with Sabine.

To put it in context, Sabine was forced by the Empire to make powerful weapons that, to her horror, were turned against her homeworld of Mandalore and against friends and family. When she spoke out against the Empire, however, her family didn't side with her, so she was forced into self-imposed exile (so to speak).

Now imagine if either Riven or a future Champion had this kind of background. Would this be a good fit for League's universe?

Personally, if they keep her story, I just hope they do something with her afterwards. Like, she's an exile, but what exactly is she doing? I'd love a series of "Riven walking the earth to atone and/or do some soul searching" stories. I've always found that her story has as a lot of potential, similar to Yasuo, funny enough.
