What is Valoran's view on interspecies marriage, or love on the matter?

This is just to get my curiosity settled, cause lets say a human could they have a relationship with one of people or lets say a Yordle could they marry a angel or human? Now I would like to imagine they are able to do so, with it being a fantasy setting and with human nature being kinky as it is, I would find it hard to believe otherwise especially taking into account the great vary of races and species that all live together, but I would like confirmation.

This is not for any fanfiction it's just curiosity of mine and would really like to see how relation ships work in Runeterra and I will respect whatever Riot tell's me.

I'd say depend of the state/country. I don't really see Demacia promote it while they might tolerate it since you know shyvana was still recruted and she's an half. But yeah Zaun? yeah totally. Noxus? Are the child strong? Yes, then go ahead. As for shurima/fredjlord (or however it is spelled) I don't really know. Bilgewater is a city of chaos so of course and piltover I'd say it's K. Last we got Bangle city and the yordles and well, no, I don't think yordle would have a tendency to fall for other race, I don't see it as very practical.

I disagree. Noxus is distinctly humanocentric, and they don't like Yordles.

'New lore,' being about a year old, doesn't change the foundational aspects of cultures (except for Shurima I guess). Noxus still acts like Noxus.

Well there is Shyvana whose dad was a dragon and whose mom was a human.

But this kind of relationship was seen as abnorm by pretty much everyone and they were hunted down by humans and dragons.

And this was despite the fact that her draconic father was able to transform into a human.

So i doubt that it would go any different with other interspecies romances(though I think species who are more accepted among humans or humanlike in general could be an exception)

Ah, yes, that was one of the more harmless ones... how about Khazix x Lulu (romantic ship)? (The blog who did this is sadly not there anymore... had really cute art ^^).

Another thing is Braum x Volibear . I'm not sure what people were even thinking with that one...

Everything else seems pretty harmless in comparision I guess... Or maybe I have spend so much time on that website that I don't know what's normal anymore xD

Nah, just a bit fucked up. I have never seen SonaX malph before I think... probably just a coincidence of two things: the usuall thing that people like to draw sona nsfw (for whatever reason) plus a "rock hard" joke. And this is how you get low quality porn art.

But if there is a ship that's actually well percieved in my opinion it's Leona x Diana - at leats some blogs I follow have a really good take on that rather dysfunctional relationship. (Also good: Syndra x Irelia )

Not sure on the later two... I have seen some Draven X Lulu working out good too xD She might be the only one who might find Draven entertaining and might put up with his arrogance (as that is usually a trait found by fae in the stories that Lulu and the Glade are based off, so to her she is not as bad as other magical beings she's used to hang around with). I've seen some really good RP blogs pulling that off (it turned into a super weird but cute friendship/romance thing)

Some people swear on Riven X Katarina tho, some on Riven x Irelia and since the Guiding Light Fanfic there is a core of diehard Riven X Lux fans.

Riven x Zac always feels so... super random. Although I don't think that anyone in Zaun would actually complain if the blob got himself a girlfriend.

Something that interests me is Riven x Sejuani, as both of them are 1.) Military Commanders and 2.) hold strenght over everything. Riven x Yasuo... well, personality wise I can see them clashing already. She's a strict army girl, he's a laidback drunkard... I don't want to know how their arguments go... (Wind slashes everywhere Q_Q )

She was with Noxus, he still is. She wants to make it great again, he's doing what he can to make it great.

To be fair, we never really hear what she doesn't like about it, aside from "Swain let Singed bomb me the fuck out."

That could be grounds lore wise for her to group with Kat, because we know she stood by Noxus, and only left because of a big fat mistake.

I also imagine that they'd both secretly be interested enough to ward off any relationships, but they'd never end up together.

She wants it but she knows she shouldn't (the grounds for the common Draven X Fiora And he's trying to convince her to see his way.

Physically: Body of a child (From a yordle perspective I guess?) but hes been living for (something year old) I forget, but jesus hes old.

I've always thought that the point of Heimer + Gnar, is that Heimer plans to teach Gnar life nowadays...and knowing Heimer, he probably already can estimate Gnar's age, so I'd assume it would get to a point where Heimer would tell Gnar his true age. I just cant help the idea of this ship tho, it sounds so cute and Lulu being Gnar's friends and in a confusing system she might like Veigar (but I just dont see that happening.) Still, I'll find a way for this ship to work! DOWN WITH LULU X VEIGAR! (Until another young cute yordle female is introduced that would be a great match for Gnar then you can have your Veigy-poo x Lulu-boo)

I really wish Rito gave us more info about champ relationships, the only thing we truly know is that Gnar loves playing with people and Lulu is a prime candidate for playing along with Annie and Lux.

I like this idea as the thought of it is ADORABLE, but I really really want them to be more than just friends later on. I found Lulu X Veigar strange as while Veigar is just a normal insane yordle, Lulu has lived a long long time due to The Glade and Gnar has lived a long time due to being frozen, I still think they fit better together.

I don't think there's enough colonisation or Valoran by other races for interspecies marriage to have come up. I mean if we look at it:

Ascendants: Limited number and originally humans
Brackern: Close to extinction; only one member on the surface
Darkin: Limited number and almost impossible to find seemingly
Iceborn: Effectively extinct and were originally humans
Marai: Near mythical species; only one member on the surface
Minotaurs: Not a large population; on bad terms with humans (generally Noxus)
Trolls: Limited to the Freljord
Ursine: Limited to the Freljord

The only other sentient people to even compare to population and influence of humans are the yordles, and even then you have to consider they're limited in locations too; very few Yordles live outside of Bandle City and its surrounding territories. So I don't think the society of another species has progressed for enough for this to actually be a topic anyone in Runeterra's discussed recently.

The only interspecies marriage I can think of is between human and iceborn, which is (afaik) the reason why the latter is effectively extinct. Iceborn were once humans and so they could cross breed, but due to the fact their transformation was magical their children weren't iceborn, but instead humans with some of that magic in their veins. This led to the iceborn's extinction as there was no way for new iceborn to be created following the Frozen Watchers being overthrown.

So to kinda put a cap on this; I'd suspect that due to the limited influence and population of most of Runeterra's native races excluding humans, interspecies marriage isn't actually a thing beyond a few isolated cases. This isn't to say it's not in the cards in the future, especially if yordle society expands in to other parts of the world aside from Piltover and a sole ambassador in Demacia, but right now it's probably something people don't even think about.

naw man i think you got a valid question while i do think many champs wouldn't have time or interest in romance im sure interspecies maybe uncommon granted would still be atleast tolerated kinda in the same way gay relationships are now (i endorse #lovewins but lets face it people will always be assholes even if it is legal now) im sure a yordel could love a human and a mermaid could love a troll even in more civilized places like demacia or ionia tho i'm sure mt targon wouldn't be so into it (they tried killing leona cuz she didn't wanna become a warrior ffs) but enough rambling, i think mixed species is cool and i don't think a rioter would come in and be like NOPE HUMANS WITH HUMANS YORDLES WITH YORDLES #LOVEDOESNOTWIN

Noxians are racist in general (according to the lore) and they wouldn't accept a marriage interspecies... i mean, they dont even see with good eyes the nonhumans ( Sion Undead Human and Cassiopeia Cursed Human are still humans) in their City State.

People mentions Shyvana but they dont remember that his Father, the Dragon, was an outcast of his race and even Humans fear the half dragons... According to the Lore, the Dragons see humans as lesser creatures, and a relationship between Dragons and other species is an abomination.

Maybe Yordles do not have problems with a Human x Yordle Relationship.... or a <put the name of the Rengar Species here> X Yordle

Or people in the Freljord/Shurima wouldn't care about the species... i mean, i guess that Shurima would even promote those things... after all the acendeds are humans that became "animals".

Now, do you refer to fantasy prejudice (racial or otherwise) Ed Greenwood's Forgotten Realms never having had any prejudice against same sex relationships at any point, and embracing fluid sexuality or.......more like simply never EVER addressing it?

EDIT: and seeing as the main ongoing tension in WoW is Humans/Elves/Gnomes/Dwarves vs "monster races" (Trolls/Undead/Tauren/Orcs/Goblins/Etc) I can see how racism could happen both ways.

In fact all they would need to do to solidify it lore wise would be to somehow swap Blood Elves with Night Elves appearance, so that on Alliance you would have all Caucasian humanoid races and on the opposite all humanoid non-caucasian races + "monsters". You still have Worgen though, to add some internal conflict on Alliance side.
