A look at how Jhin's gun, Whisper, might work and how he creates his "art."

I have been contemplating about exactly how Jhin can create what he calls art since his lore was released. I believe I have came up with some plausible ideas of how.

First, let's look at Whisper. After the events of the Noxian invasion, Ionian started to take up firearms. But given the fact that most of Ionian is practically swimming in magic, they made their own versions of hextech which was first created in Piltover. What I believe is, there are certain rare magical stones or gems that are used to crafted these weapons. It wouldn't surprise me very much given that it is Ionia. I believe this is how magic is implemented in the weapon itself. In Jhin's color text, he mentions that magic pulses from the core of the gun. It is also said that Jhin crafts his own bullets and he puts magic in them, as it was also mentioned that the 4th shot was imbued by dark magics. So every bullet is magical combined with the gun already being magical it's self, leaving some devastating results when fired.

I imagine that they leave bigger wounds then Sarah Fortune's twin pistols. But thats just from Whisper's pistol form. When he transforms it into a rifle, he attaches the cane he uses to work around with(I'm sure he doesn't need it for any actual walking aid, just to be fancy) along with the hextech mass accelerator connected to his mechanical right arm. A rioter said when he does this it becomes one of the strongest weapons in Runeterra.

Now I believe he already has 4 mega bullets loaded in his shoulder before he does a performance. And again these are magic infused bullets that will have destructive power at this point. Anyone hit with these will be sure to die, any normal person anyway. Jhin really went through the trouble of making sure, he has to create his art by all means which is what about to get into.

Now, how Jhin creates his..."Art." In his lore, he mentioned that his previous murders were done with blades. Based on what he does now, it is safe to say that Jhin used daggers or other small blades that he would lodge to his victims. It was also mentioned that he has a "chi technique" that he would often use during these murders. Chi, as it is widely believed, is the latent energy all living things are born with. What I do believe is that based on his martial training when he was younger, he was all ready accustomed to the use of it. It was never mentioned what type of dojo his father ran, only that it was dwarfed by Wuju.

My theory is that with every blade he thrown, he implemented chi along with it. When the blade hits the body, it would arrange it according to what ever he programed the chi to do so. I go by this theory, based on a unpopular phenomena of psi, psi balls or anything of that sort( you would have to google this to understand. I think that ** this** is the technique he implemented with Whisper, only now he has magic to help him create exactly what his mind pictures.

So it is magical weaponry plus his chi technique that creates his horrific art that onlookers witness. It is a deadly combination but fitting for someone as smart as Jhin is. You would have to be in a pretty dark state of mind to achieve this. This is my theory on how Jhin's whole set up works imo.

It's a nice thread, but sadly, I'm fairly certain it doesn't apply. Jhin seeing flowers/trees/beautiful art is only something he sees. It's his delusion of sorts. Everyone else still sees the horribly mangled bodies.

Yep, good summary my friend.

What I think tho with the earlier bladework he simply sliced the victims into artwork, levitating the small blades like Irelia does with hers. He mentions in the color text that those works he felt insignificant - and they don't rearrange.

I don't think he utilizes his chi techniques with the gun. The bullets and the gun do everything themselves. It doesn't make mention of him using chi with his guns.

"Understanding firearm mechanics had taken him weeks of study, but evolving his chi techniques from blades had taken months. "

The flowers are something that only he sees, but the gun does have some part in the composition of the aftermath.

"It didn't just cut apart the body. It rearranged it. "
