There is nothing anymore to theorize about

It's an indirect consequence of the lore being more coherent over-time.

All those darkin, demon, celestial or watcher theories happenned because the lore was so obscure, it was kinda fun to guess "what would Riot do" with the few hints we had.

Now that those concepts are explained, the remaining "unknown concepts" have so little information that we end up like :

  • yep that thing exists
  • i have no idea who that is or how it works
  • i have no clue to help me figure out
  • guess i'll wait until one day it becomes explained

It's not a complaint, but more like how i see the current state of the lore.

You don't have theories about the other 5/6 of Runeterra we've yet to see?

Or the origins of the Targonian?

Or the swimming 'city' near bilgewater?

You'd be surprised. Would you like an invite to the lore Discord server, where everyone goes crazy theorizing?

Well, there's still some things to theorize about. What'll happen with Xerath and Azir, for example? What are the things below that corrupted Pyke? What's the deal with Ahri's strange gemstones? What does Swain mean about Aurelion Sol's "siblings"? What's to come of the last two Darkin? What can we expect from Kayle and Morgana when they get rewritten? What about Malphite?

What about other Celestials beyond Soraka and Bard - will we see more of them in the future?

There's still plenty to speculate about, it just seems like there's less because the stuff that has been unknown for so long (demons, Darkin, etc.) have been given more concrete grounding. Darkin were formerly Ascended, demons are magic-made-manifest and given life, and so on.

This isn't stopping people from doing so anyway.

And it gets to these crazy lengths where it doesn't even make sense anymore.
