Zoe made it much more clear of what i want to see in Swain

When people started comparing her to a character akin to something like Disney, I began to think about my favorite Disney villains and realized some of things I wanted to see in Swain based on them.

A lot of Disney villain characters share similar attributes but a lot of them have certain traits that are much more prominent about them among the others.

Three villains in particular highlight 3 of the traits I want to see in Swain.

His best trait (aside from his voodoo skills) is his ability to get his way or convince others with his words alone. While he is cunning, it is his incredible ability to sweet talk his way to getting what he wants to be most prominent and impressive skill. I always imagined Swain was similar to this in his way with words. Raw power alone can accomplish many things. But working with and potentially against cutthroat elites of Noxus requires a lot more tactfulness then simple displays of power in my mind.

Dr. Facilier and Scar are very similar but I think what separates the two is that Scar relies on his cunning more than his charisma by comparison. Scar accomplishes many of his goals through calculated plans. He uses charisma when needed and as icing on the cake to make his plans come to fruition but didn't overly rely on it and preferred planning when it was a option. This is the type of mindset I think that applies to Swain but unlike Scar, he can/does turn on the charm on the level of Dr.Facilier, this is not to say Scar cant be charming himself though.

The one trait that I think fits Swain perfectly from Claude Frollo is his confidence in everything does. I hope they manage to capture that sense of confidence in Swain but without being overly arrogant as Frollo was.

Are you also hoping that Swain will burst into song (sinister, but still catchy) while monologuing? Because I am.

Hades is still my most memorable villain for me. How he is always putting on a show is just so much fun to watch.

It's funny you would compare Swain to Frollo, because he takes after another carrion bird: the vulture. It's mostly reflective in his actions against the disadvantaged and downtrodden Romani, referred to as "gypsies" in the movie, but you can see hints of it in his appearance too. He's got a bald(ing) head, a beak-like nose and chin, and a white collar on his billowy black robe that makes his arms look like wings.

Another similarity I'd point out is that both of them aren't just manipulative and cunning, but also absolutely driven and completely ruthless. In Swain's case, the objects of his desire are the position of High Commander and later (presumably) Noxus' global dominance. In Frollo's case, the objects of his desire are the eradication of the Romani and later Esmeralda.

Both end up doing irredeemable things in their attempts to obtain these, such as letting Singed loose in Ionia, or burning down Paris, because in their callousness they simply cannot settle for anything that might leave them with less than what they desire, preferring instead to utterly dominate their enemies, no matter the cost.

Disney had some really memorable villains back in the day.

I feel like I want Swain to be more like Magneto from X-Men.

None of those fit my view of Swain (but I never read lore).

My view of Swain

hunchback of notre-dame (quazi moto)

Dude makes me think of an old man with back/hip/leg problems. He is crippled and walks slowly and only plays with birds. The exact opposite of sly, cunning, charming, and confident in my head.
