Well, in my opinion It is more than sexuality. It is clearly magic because in the last story, Ahri charmed a noxian soldier and soldier couldn't do anything but running to her. Soldier wanted to run away but Ahri's magic didn't let him to do. So I believe, it doesn't matter what sexuality victim has, a straight female or a gay male, doesn't matter. She is going to charm them until they have super strong will or her target is far beyond her compherison (like Syndra). So I believe, an ordinary female has no chance to run away from her if Ahri decide to charm and murder. Just surrender and let the fun begin. Maybe she declines to kill you because of good moments.
