Here's my example for fiddle sticks:

Day 3-Arrival

Journal log-2

Grey skies covered the barren and harsh lands of the VooDoo Lands. A rainy night, is a cursed one for the people of the VooDoo Lands. People of Dusk Village never liked it when it rained at night. They had always felt like something bad was going to happen on nights like these. And so something did happen. Another crow picked body was found in the fields again. This would make the second one this month. No one is sure how people are fallen prey to what ever terror that is haunting them. But, many feel that it has something to do with the last high wizard of the Village.

It was said that he always had a longing of creating the perfect minion to do his bidding. One account claims that he achieve this but the minion was never seen by anyone. Then he vanished from the village. Many say he died, some say his spirit still haunts his Mansion, trying to make the perfect minion.

Day 5-Scarecrow myth

Journal log-4

There is a small myth of a evil scarecrow that is said to come alive and scare folks away. I don't believe this nonsense, but i suppose it's worth the info to report back to. The location of this thing is said to be on the far west outer banks of the Village. I will check it out tomorrow.

Day 6-log 7 Something is up. I heard commotion coming from the right of me in the higher stalks of these fields. Unwilling to take any chances i hid some higher stalks close to me to avoid being seen by anyone. I crept slowly towards the commotion in the shadows of the stalks. The rain was getting a little heavier. But through the rain I caught glimpse of what seemed like a mage casting magic. That's when a also caught a glimpse of slender figure holding a small axe. To my astonishment, I realize that this was a scarecrow, moving on Its on! The myth was true!

The fight ceased. The mage was killed. And the terrifying figure just stood there, looming over her body. I decided it's best for me to leave, attempted sneak away but something was holding me there. I felt scared, What if it noticed I moved in the stalks? Would it come for me? Should I try to out run it? What do I do?

That's when I noticed a Large flock of Crows above me, and then a unnerving presence behind me.

Fiddlesticks "I Feel Your Fear"

It's just a fun thing to do, I'm interested in anyone else's out come or example :D

Well, I'm one of the last people I'd recommend to be a writer, but heres my spiel anyway :P

I used to drift in another world. A world of darkness. A world of silence, and stillness. A world where I existed alone.

Then they came. These...humans. They did not know of me, did not know of my world. But they made their presence known all the same. When they slept, their minds wandered. When they dreamed, they lit up my darkness like little lights. It was...irritating. But at least, that was tolerable.

But it seemed that wasn't enough for them. They wanted more. They wanted to exert themselves on more than what they could just see. They began to play with the fabric of nature, with the forces of life and death. And they got their wish. They tore the veil right open.

I laughed. Oh, how I laughed. The humans got what they deserved, did they not? They reached too far, and then fell so far. It seemed...right. And yet, somehow, they managed to get the last laugh. By some trick of magic, or some remnant of the spell, the magics latched on to me, and began to pull me through. I knew not why, nor did I care. All I knew was, the humans were taking me from my place.

I fought. I raged, and I strove, and I battled those accursed magics all the way. But it was all in vain. I was dragged from my home, from my world, to these hated lands. And the magics...they changed me. I could touch this world, change it. And I could shape myself. I could bring forth armor, to protect myself from the abominations that lived in this world. I could drift as a shadow, as darkness incarnate, so that men would not know of my presence. And I could bring forth blades, so that I could begin my task.

It was magics that tore me from my home. It was those mages that struck against me. And so, it would be those mages that felt my wrath. They would learn that sometimes, the abyss gazes back.

I may not be able to return to my darkness, to my solitude.

But I can bring it to this world.

I wasn't sure what I expected when coming in here, but you got me worked up. So here. My take on a certain lonely champion.

The sun is unforgiving to all who languish beneath it. Once we bathed in its light, our crystal bodies reflecting its rays in dazzling shades of red, blue, green and yellow.

Once we were many things.

I swim through the sands, dunes collapsing in my wake. My body is large and heavy, too much so to simply scuttle across the desert as I would prefer. Outcroppings of stone give me the purchase needed to stand, and I can see for miles. Shurima is laid before me, and it is empty.

Good.

I continue on my way. There are still many leagues to traverse and inspect. I have traced these paths countless times, and I will do some countless times more, until my duty is done. Any incursion will be swiftly dealt with. Those that would dare to trespass here will be given the gift of my poison, and a painful, ugly death.

I long ago grew accustomed to moving through the desert. Perhaps too much so. The grains shift easily, and when something moves in the dunes I can feel it. The sands shift easily on the wind, but when moved by a living thing it is different. Forceful.

Any presence but mine is a threat.

A shift. Large. Quick. Not human.

I rush toward it. I already know who this trespasser is.

The beast lunges at me, fangs and claws bared. It has left its neck exposed. I reach out and grab it.

Snap.

The creature falls to the ground dead. As I look over its broken form its body bubbles and oozes. In a few minutes it is completely gone.

The shurimans call it a Xer'Sai. One of the outerbeasts of the southern lands. They are a plague upon this land; I will destroy any who dare to disturb this place.

Why is it here? They know I am too great for them.

Some beasts from that place...the Void, they are cunning, ruthless, intelligent. The Xer'Sai are not among those few. They are bestial. Primal. Instinctive. Those instincts drove it here.

But why?

Something has disturbed them.

A screech resounds overhead. I look up. Birds fly high, moving east. They are fleeing.

From the old city.

I rush forward. Something is definitely wrong. The old city was where the shurimans found death. It is an important place. Now something new is stirring.

As I push on I feel the earth rumbling. This is no natural occurrence.

What could do such a thing?

The ascended spring to mind, but they long ago scattered to the winds. What would bring them back?

I crest the final dune, the city just on the horizon.

My heart fills with dread.

The disc. The wretched Sun Disc. It stands tall, elevated in the sky.

The rumbling has stopped.

Conflict is on the horizon once again.

I roar in anguish. The last time I saw the disc up high my kin were dying around me. It was the day I took up my role as the vanguard, the one who guards the realm of the Brackern. Long ago that disc fell from the sky. Now it has returned.

“Not this time.”

I am the only one who remains to stand against the shurimans and their ascended.

I am the only Brackern who stands under the sun.

I will be their death.

“The Brackern will not be undone by you Shurima.”

Recon you can guess who he is? I wrote this up in about twenty minutes.
