I mean don't get me wrong...the lore was amzaing. But I was expecting something post-aspect form where Leona would meet up with Diana and speak of what happened between the two tribes of ancient times. Or at least let the Solari's people understand what happened and there actually IS a Lunari tribe..... Idk. im just disapointed in that, but I suppsoe i can get what I am given right? They did work on Targon lore after all

Trust me mate. Now that Targon's update is done there's a whole lot I'm disappointed about. Diana and Leona barely interacting ranks somewhere in the middle.

It wasn't like a story like burning tides it was more of like foundation work, the expositions for all the characters.

Diana and Leona will meet, their stories ain't done

I'm still getting over how they introduced Pantheon as some foo named Atreus and then mind-wiped him for Pantheon, the Aspect-Parasite of War.

The Diana-Leona thing sounds more like a revisioning, and probably poorly planned out.

Jaredan said that this won't be an event,it seems like it was just a bunch of lore updates.

Targon lore sucks, big time, i've seen stuff written by high school students that doesn't even study to become writers be much better

I think Targon suffered a lot from being hyped as an "event" sort of thing. That rumor sorta started who knows when, and people were excited for Burning Tides 2: The ReBurnining. But it...wasn't. And the thing is that it was never supposed to be. Jaredan even explicitly said it wasn't an event in the way Bilgewater was. So that really satisfying storytelling that went with Bilge wasn't present.

Targon was more of a round of Lore updates, and a new champion coming out. There was no real progression on any of the character stories, and although we learned more about Targon, I'd call this more like what happened with the Shadow Isles last Halloween. It's a lot of updates for characters, but no plot forwarding for them. This is kind of a classic "Old" Event for League, like with Freljord and Shurima, where a lot of conflict is set up, but nothing is yet resolved, unlike with Bilgewater, where things did get resolved, especially with regards to TF/Graves and MF/Gangplank.

That said, I'm still excited for the next "full fledged" event. Burning Tides was fantastic.

If you consider that amazing lore, wait until you discover books.

I'm just kidding, that's harsh =P

Come play DnD

Since new Taric only came out (heh) a few days ago I think the lore is just getting started. They didnt give us the GP interactions until after he was reworked and on live.

They did interact, it was just confined to behind the scenes because publishing it would have lost League it's Teen rating.

I would have really liked to see Diana and Leona interact as well ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

From the Red Posts, i think we can expect further "chapters" in the Targon lore that expand on what was introduced. I would be shocked if they didn't include

  1. Diana and Leona interacting/fighting/allying/etc.
  2. Atreus's personality making some sort of return

"Leona and Diana are shown in particular parts of their lives. We're not done telling their story and we want to give them room to grow and change." Jareden

Well when. Considering how long Diana has been out, and instead of progressing their story line like they did with TF and Graves, we get a fucking reset button and our characters are worst off. WTF

The new lore is very well done, but I feel like it enters with a bang and then we're clawing for resolutions. It's not very compelling story telling if every arc ends up being a cliffhanger in regards to what happens with the characters.
