Does anyone feel anything for Kalista?

Sympathy, fear, anger? Sure she's the spirit of vengeance, but without a reason why she does what she does, I don't feel any sympathy. I should feel anger, since she takes people's souls, but meh. I can never really fear her unless I'm a traitor.

I do feel sympathy for her, and I do mean her, not the myriad spirits the entity "Kalista" has taken, or the Spear of Vengeance that takes them.

She was human, possibly a soldier, that served the kingdom of the Shadow Isles, and one day it all came crashing down. From her perspective, it was a betrayal beyond imagining that damned an entire nation of the innocent and guilty alike, a betrayal from the monarchy she swore to uphold. Noblesse oblige; the duties of royalty and aristocracy, to govern and protect the people.

In one moment of desperation, her world was torn apart. Kalista died with an unquenchable desire for vengeance that the magic of the Shadow Isles twisted for a more sinister purpose, transforming her into a ruthless spirit that takes the souls of invokers and oath breakers, regardless of whether or not they deserve damnation. Now Kalista is an amalgamation of souls, and the woman with whom it all began is nearly lost in the torrent of minds swirling within the specter.

Why I feel sympathy for her is because she does remember who she was, some recognition exists even as more souls are added to the Spirit of Vengeance.

"We - I - must remember." "Kalista... yes, that was our name."

But for me, the most damning thing of all that tugs at the atrophied strings of my heart, or the black hole where it used to be, is this:

"Why?"

I really think the voice actor did an exceptional job conveying strong emotion behind one word. Such a simple question, but it highlights just how confused, hurt, and angry she is for all that has happened. Kalista wants to know what is the point of so much suffering and loss. For me, that is the clearest moment of Kalista, the person, pushing through Kalista, the Spear of Vengeance.

There remains some semblance of humanity in her, but it is fading away, threatening to disappear. It is a tragedy, losing who you are, bit by bit, until nothing matters, because you no longer exist; a shell something else has taken up residence in.

From a gameplay perspective though, I hate her with every fiber of my being.

I feel absolutely nothing for her as a character. She's just a hopping pile of meh. Sure she have mysterious past involving the Shadow Isle, but there are 2 problems with that. 1 - There are no SI champs I'm interested in as far as narrative is concerned. So the SI itself is very uninteresting to me. 2 - Having a mysterious past doesn't make a character interesting for me.

No,I don't feel anything for Kalista.

Kalista, to me, is more of a force of nature rather than a sympathetic character, or really any character. I think that's the point with her; she was once human and you may have felt something about her, but now she is an amalgamation of souls that only barely remembers who she once was. She's not good or evil, she's there to do a job; kill traitors.

I feel nothing but hatred and contempt for the kangaroo.

There isn't really a lot of detail in her current lore that would strive for me to care about her. For all I know, she's just another character with an ambiguous past seeking to kill some traitors. She doesn't feel much different from Evelynn in that regard.

In definition of honesty of Truth equipping me to play the Best I could ever be: Talk about clipping wings when prohibiting Kalista the full range of her skill set and abilities by avoiding Blood Sworn Oath. Almost a not fair. Think about this for a moment. If Yasuo had to select the most truthful Champion ally to aid in amplifying the abilities of Yasuo his sword embraced with the honor Yasuo would have to stand in Yasuo his own accountability of Yasuo his own integrity; but the majority of Riot League of Legends online video game population of gamer's avoids this level of honorable upgrade, then maybe there is a connection of a side of empathy for Kalista Kalista.

I think in support of allowing all Champions the ability of a chance to own Awesome! When there are people avoiding the ritual of her Kalista Blood Sworn Oath, there is a high level of impact in the teamwork of forcing Kalista Kalista maybe trolling as a feeder if she can only fight with a fraction of her Kalista entire skill set aptitude in qualifying her Kalista as far away from any level of trolling feeder any of herKalista teammates could try to dictate herKalista abilities into that direction.
