Where is Miss Fortune currently headed as a Personality?

I really love the concept and the entirety that is Miss Sarah Fortune, and with an honest heart i have appreciated her since she came out, even if i did not particularily like playing as her, or against her.

But with the updated Bilgewater lore and that new Comic they released about her, i really worry for her future development.

Currently, she is this pirate hunting Jessica rabbit clone of a seductress that REALLY shows herself off.

But ever since the bilgewater change, it feels like riot has her headed more and more into this Second gangplank. A Wrath fueled near-psycho murderer that just so happens to have a lot of sex Appeal.

I have seen some Posts already questioning it's content, but they most often just theorized about what she is gonna be or displayed just blank disagreement. My intention is to directly post the question in hopes for any answers from the developers or just generally anyone who has more Intel on how she is being worked on.

Where is Miss fortune headed? Will we see any updates on that soon? Because as of right now her ingame model and her public display are 2 very different people.

Some Answers on her future development would be very welcome for many of us.

I feel like right now, she HAS to maintain herself and make sure she's not put down.

Because she killed GP, there is a need to maintain structure around BW.

That is where the group as well as meetings come in between the 4 families. Unfortunately, because she WAS the one that caused all the problems, the other 3 did not trust her, so they tried to downplay her power.

Now, MF isn't power hungry. She dealt with men trying to put her down as some frail woman. Hell, even one of the men there mocked her like the misogynist he was, but her initial decision was not to kill. GP would just straight up kill to get what he wants.

Since she isn't trying to be like him, she tried diplomacy with one of the 3 to get some of her power back to be on equal footing. She only wants balance; however, the man she went too refused her and now wants her dead. MF now must go into self defense. If she sits idly, a hit will be put out on her, and she will be killed. If she decided not to have get him to join her and only sat and wait, they would have continue voting against her until she was powerless.

Even if she didn't kill GP, this would have hurt because she IS a player in BW. Her influence just happens to be at the forefront now.

So. What does she do? Wait until they kill her off or fight back? She fights back. This is why she set up the meeting in the end and killed 2 out of 3. She did not do it because she is cruel. She did it in order to survive. Leaving one of them alive is to send a message, so she can avoid an incident like this again.

So why all the GP comparisons? We can see how bloody and dangerous the occupation holds. GP killed his father the same way Sarah "killed" him. She's walking the same path as him NOT because she is vengeful and hate-filled, but because she is trying to make things better. The road to hell is often paved with good intentions. She is not him. She understands now that vengeance is fruitless and leaves you empty. She is not out to seek blood, and she wants to go the most peaceful way possible. Her situation just doesn't permit it.

In the end, I see her steering toward's the route GP took, albeit unwillingly, in order to not only preserve herself but to also keep the balance and order. Sarah isn't an evil or malicious woman, but the business she's in requires a certain amount of...blood-lust and relentlessness in order to stay on top. People will follow and work with you out of respect, but they will also submit and not question anything you say out of fear.

She just prefers respect, and we see how far that got her in the comic.

may be, but paying close attention to her dialogues and way of expression rings red Alarms if you ask me. I mean let's take a look at this:

This is some psycho stuff. Telling someone you have an expression of happiness while quite literally blowing his head off of his shoulders.

And even before, when she dethroned gp, Sacrificing Malcolm graves and tobias fate was actually her plan all along. She set them both up with a fake job to get gangplank to step out of his ship then sunk that ship with not a single glance of regard for the two whom one she was even cool with.

The day she dethroned gangplank, and her vice captain's worries presented during the last harrowing story (The one where she met lucian) only further display that miss fortune is getting increasingly unstable ever since she erased gangplank.

Sure, she isn't there yet, but as Things stand right now, she is full on going down that path to replace gangplank as a tyrant. Such is only underlined by the fact that she would never pass out an opportunity to hunt and execute. You heard me, not kill, execute gangplanks crew-survivors.

Someone who kills for the fulfillment of an ambition and sacrifices lives for a sieze of power doesn't represent or fight for balance. I do however admit you raised some very good points, but riot has genuinely put everything in place for miss fortune to be a dictator-in-development

Who Mf is becoming is concerning, but not in a bad way imo, it is part of her plot hook as a character, Gangplank and MissFortune have different intentions, but the method is still the same, because for the longest time there has only been one way in Bilgewater Gangplank :"My way." The challenge presented to Miss Fortune is to rule Bilgewater with the same strictness without becoming her worst nightmare, and that's if she has the time to do so, Gp will return, Miss Fortune may never truly unify Bilgewater, not everyone will have a happy ending. Personally I don't think Mf will succeed at either, ruling differently from Gp nor unifying Bilgewater, Karma is a b*tch, so I'm looking forward to what Riot does with the lore in respect to Gp's return, maybe Mf will be able to fend him off maybe not.

Oh, also, I actually give her that smile thing. Cause that guy was an ass, and I see it as an "ironic" moment she didn't want to pass up cause he probably chafed her more than the guy she flirted with. If for no other reason than the fact that the "smile" guy was unwarranted.

That's dramatic stage presence. She stated earlier that she needed her men to know that she took these men down and enjoyed it. That's not a sentence to "think" if you are actually having fun.

I think you are misreading instability with uncertainty. Reading her lore these past couple years has given me the impression that running Bilgewater had never been her goal or plan. But now she feels a bit responsible to keep Bilgewater from falling apart, and that's not something she can control if she's forced out of the picture by these men.

I think her bloodlust and thirst for vengeance is clear in Burning TIdes. But in Shadow and Fortune? Is obvious at the end of that story that she is started to think that the way she has been making things it's not the most aproppiate. I dislike the idea many thing is implied in the comic that she is becoming like Gangplank , because she STARTED being like him. Only in SandF she started to see the error in her ways. Making her become like Gangplank now, for me, would just be take her character development at the beggining.

I'm hoping for Jessica Rabbit meets traditional bounty hunter. That means she can use her wits and boobs looks for some problems and her guns for others.
