He's far too evolved too run on all 4 paws all the time like a filthy animal.

He is civilized and sophiscated and only runs on 4 paws when he needs the speed to catch up to someone in order to throw them over his shoulders, slash them few times, and then bite their heads off.

He is not some barbaric "runs on all fours bear"

Yes, he is MORE civilized by walking upright. And evolution PROVES that as animals evolve me, they start walking upright. Thus he is MORE civlilized because he walks upright.

You can't get much more civilized than a bear that wears armor while mauling enemies with lightning claws then biting their heads off.

If an animal is on all fours, it is barbaric. That is the main requirement. That is also how Rome conquered most of the known world at the time. All the barbarians were on all fours and thus couldn't properly use their weapons and the Romans marched in BIPEDALLY and were able to use weapons and armor and what not and conquer them.

Technically it's more the trait of evolution and not civilization but it's true. Scientists with actual scientific degrees at real actual accredited universities agree.(This is true for real, you can google this right now. With a lot of animals, as they evolve more and more, they will start going from quadripedal to bipedal over the thousands and millions of years of evolutions.)

Examples for bipedal animals: birds, some dinosaurs like the T-Rex, etc. Examples for permanently upright walking animals: human

Ahh yes, upright, that's what I meant.

As for the evolution thing towards being more upright that's what most of the scientists and evolutionists say. Don't take my word for it, I'm just some random guy on the internet. You can find some interesting information on this by just googling it.

Perfect solution. His passive lets him run on all fours like his Q and he'll always have his Q movespeed buff. But to flip, he has to stand up straight, lose speed, and then throw them. Genius. I should work at Riot.

Q: Passive: Volibear walks in all 4 four legs gaining movement speed boost when moving towards enemies champions. Active: Volibear next basic attack flips his target, knocking them up but volibear loses the passive part of the ability while it is on cooldown.

still it woudl be a buff so you would have to adjust the speed boost.

I think the only reason why Voli is so high on the VGU list is because they have a cool idea for him(and because his theme of being a walking bear is kinda underwhelming)
