Well, they likely have an acknowledged kinship since they had both been experiencing enter on by the same psycho scientist.
Or, it is likely that the person who laid out the storyboard for the cinematic decided that they would just skip the "Hello. How are you? Who are you? Where you from?"
Project cinematic is an alternate reality. So probably they have there, in normal runeterra however? maybe
