Whats up with talon?

Mainly a question for the talon fanatics out there, What exactly is the appeal for talon? Usually ,for just about any other character i can at least see what the appeal is and what the fantasy is, but I am just completely blind when it comes to talon. So please can I get some enlightenment?

Mainly what i thought, just didn't want to be dismissive of those that like him.

My guess is swift assassination with AoE, being able to make flashy as all hell plays, etc.

Oh u talking about Zed?

To OP: Silence removal from E that made Talon legitimate anti-caster champ and Zed release forced Talon into "I'm worse than Zed and oh I also got mana problems" niche. He is still fun to play though.

Zed has only two AoE spells, and only one is reliable in damage. Talon has two AoE spells as well, but are more realible in damage as well as apply better CC. Silence is really a mechanic that's kind of a pain to deal with. It's not like stunned, where you can't do anything at all, and feels more like helplessness than anything personally. But ignoring that, I have seen some godly Talons do better than Zeds. And mana problems is to help balance him out- Talon can eliminate two squishies at once with his abilities, while Zed focuses on one.

Zed can't do what Talon can do and Talon can't do what Zed can do. Simple as that. Talon, when ahead, can walk into a team fight and nuke the enemy teams HP, while Zed can pick people off safely, which Talon can do too, however Zed's more in a splitpushing position where if someone tries to stop him they die because Zed is so good in those situations, Talon has to be more cautious about where he is because he can't escape like Zed can when splitpushing. Champions are good at different playstyles and while they have similarities that does not make one better or worse than another just because they both do "AoE" damage, but imo Zed has VERY limited AoE damage and focuses all his damage on a single target rather than multiple.
