Where in the lore did it say that Lux is a gay? I know that Tamara is a gay. Pretty sure Taric and Illaoi might be a gay. I think Mao'Kai is a gay as well.
But I got no idea where Lux being a gay comes from.

The idea that Lux is gay comes form the her new biography from the Demacia update. Her magic is something that she is afraid to talk about, and that she is initially ashamed of, but eventually comes to accept and be proud of. Many readers consider it to be a metaphor for coming to terms with one's sexuality.
Yeah. Metaphor does not Equal Correlation to her character. Her issue was magic. That resonates with LGBT people as a story of coming to terms with yourself and being proud. Understandable.
But that does not mean she is gay. And who cares anyway really. I am more worried about getting rooted and then ulted than who she is sleeping with Lol
There isn't any official hint for any of the playable champions that says they are gay because its not relevant to the game. Taric has never met Ezreal and his story is not even close to the homosexual way, Illaoi had a relationship with Gangplank if you read the Bilgewater event and Reav3r said Lux is not lesbian but not sure if she knows Ezreal or not.

I can't really comment on most of your post but I will say that one of the tips during the loading screen is "Illaoi was Gangplank's first love" so I think they might have been in a relationship but I'm not 100% sure about it.

What, why would you think he's gay? I don't think Maokai is even interested in men or women. I haven't really read his lore but I assume that he's like a forest's spirit taking revenge on humanity, but if he's just a spirit of nature, he wouldn't have human-like feelings or breeding instincts.
