Hello summones,

following my habit, I am making another thread, asking the community what they want to see for their favourite region when it comes to champions. Today, we want to discover the untouched potential of the old and mighty kingdom of Shurima!

Feel free to discuss anything champion related that your heart desires. May it be appearance, story hooks, kit suggestions, personality profiles, it just doesn't matter. The only chains I want to put you guys in is that we focus on Shurima related stuff.

And now, it will be my pleasure to start with my own ideas right here.

Baccai Many people already read about the baccai. They were people, who participated in the ritual of ascension, but they failed. That didn't leave them unharmed, their appearance became monstrous, their flesh got deformed in bizarre ways. Seeing a creature like that opens the door for a horror themed champion from Shurima, as well as great tragedic story telling. He would probably be a mixture of several creatures, I think that a scarab mixed in (or any other kind of insect) fits the horror theme the best.

Female Ascended We got (technically) 4 ascended champions in the game: Nasus, Renekton, Azir and Xerath. These are all male, I think it's time that we get a female ascended champion. Since these are all based on Egyptian gods (Nasus: Anubis, Renekton: Sobek, Azir: Horus, even Xerath has some similarities to Osiris), I think that such a champion could be based on either Serqet or Bastet. I would probably go for Bastet and make her an assassin, Shurima lacks that subclass and it fits the cat theme well. Personality should be Himedere, she should think that she is a queen and everyone should obey her.

Demigod I personally expect Rammus to become a Shuriman demigod after his VGU. He will most likely be related to the element earth. I think we could still go for another demigod from that region, giving Rammus a sister. Ornn is highly related to the natural phenomenon of vulcanos and I think that Rammus could be related to earthquakes. The new demigod could represent the friendly side of the desert, an oasis. Her element would be water, she could have animalistic features of gazelle, a merciful demigod, helping people to survive in that ocean of sand. Most likely going to be a support, a role that Shurima is lacking a dedicated champion for right now.

These were the ideas I was able to come up with. But I hope that many people are commenting in here and share their thoughts on the matter.

I'd would prefer to see a Scarab Ascended based on Khepri opposed to the only Scarab theme being in a Baccai champ. Perhaps they could have a connections to the Kmiros mentioned in Rammus' short story.

Yeah Bastet for a female ascended seems like the obvious choice,as she is the most popular female egyptian god. Though in general the ascended/Baccai could technically be based on any animal,so we may see some based on animals that aren't based on egyptian gods(imagine a rhino or elephant ascended).

Also I'd really like to see a scarab-champ.

As for human champs from shurima I'd like to see a frontline fighter from it(though I'm not sure what could be done to make him/her unique),as we have currently only Nasus,Renekton,Amumu,Rammus & Skarner as the only frontline fighters from Shurima.

A nature Shuriman demigod, something like final fantasy's cactuar would be nice.

Representing the life that is born from the arid sands of Shurima, and that its strong enough to survive and grow bigger, no matter the hardships that it has to endure. It could be a symbol like Rammus itself, of strenght and tenacity against the horrors of the Void that are born from Icathia

I mean, seeing the conquest of Noxus of several Shurima coast cities in the Medara map, I would love to see an event similar to the war between Jonia and Noxus in the second season, and some stories or some comic about this war, and characters from both sides fighting one another. Somehting like seeing a sandstorm forming around a Noxtoraa, and a army of sand soldiers made by Azir sudddenly appears kiling almost all the noxians in the area, leaving only a bunch to defend the city, but leaded by Darius , or something like it. It's just that the lore so far, has only advanced individual character stories. Except "Shadow and Fortune", we haven't seen anything mayor happening between characters from different regions. And since I saw that map of Piltover, I wanted to know more about the wars of Noxus and Shurima.

Shurima lore died when they trashed Xerath's old lore and made it into the abomination it is now.

Azir is mostly based on Osiris. Osiris' alternative spelling are Aser, Wesir, Ausir etc, note the similarity. Similarly, Osiris is the god of afterlife, just like Azir is technically a necromancer or sort, and one of his skin is Gravelord Azir to reflect that. Both Azir and Osiris were also resurrected after death because of their female close relative.

While Azir does borrow elements from Ra, Aten and Horus, but most of Azir's inspiration is from Osiris imo.

I need more ascended. Azir is my favorite all time champ and he needs a bigger empire to rule.

I HAVE to know how his conflict with Xerath ends.

I HAVE to see Azir and Sivirs relationship.

An interesting thing that could happen is that since Azir presumably got the full power of the Sun disk, as he can create new ones and is powerful enough to raise cities, I feel he should be able to bestow Ascension on others.

Personally, I think Sivir should have an ultimate skin. It could be Setaka, the original wielder of the Chalicar, Sivir's weapon.
