Before Noxus, gained the Might is right demeanor, The Black rose(One of many of Noxus's dark guilds) had a lot of power with many thing in Noxus. Many people feared them and often no one would go against them. However, once Militia started to rise in Noxus, the Black Rose was becoming nothing but a memory.

At some point, nobility also made its debut there. Although Noxus is known for it's fearsome military, aristocrats were becoming popular. A lot of them were becoming figureheads. The champion KatarinaKatarina could have became just another noble as well if she didn't have a bad lust for violence. But her sister CassiopeiaCassiopeia showed this entirely, until she was transformed....Any way it seems Aristocracy was making its way to the top in Noxus.

DariusDarius is one of the most feared warriors from Noxus. After showing his might in war, he noticed what was going on in his City-State. He saw that Nobility was making Noxus look weak. Judging from his background I wouldn't think he'd like nobility either way. So he took it upon himself to make some.....changes. He removed weak figure heads from power--Violently it said, he killed them maybe? Anyway, his actions made might rule get ahead of Aristocracy. Thus giving the migh is right demeanor again. Not just him, SwainSwain shows this but being the head honcho of everything in Noxus as maser tactical crippled man. They take strength in all forms, if your not strong in one way you wont get far in Noxus.

The ones looking for control over all of Noxus is the Black Rose. They have a lot of pull in many places of Noxus, the most being the underground part of Noxus. There are other dark guilds in Noxus, but the strongest maybe the BR. I suppose they don't like the fact that they have been forgotten. I'm sure when LeBlancLeblanc re emerged, this memory brought fear again. It's a guild full of dark mages any way. But It seems they are trying to take control over Noxus again. They already have Swains favor, so what's their next goal?

If Noxus is looking to conquer other lands, they should really control their own city first. The theme they want to give is Might, but that's too busy competing with Aristocracy. Meanwhile it seems Control is pulling both of their strings.

You know I wonder how Draven views Noxus.

I mean we know he is an egotistical murderer and Darius protected him when they were younger, but thats all we really know of him.

We don't know if he is any friends with anyone, if he has direct rivals, thoughts about Swain and Darius, etc...

I'm guessing he doesn't really care. He doesn't seem like the type of guy who gives a shit about politics so long as someone lets him keep throwing axes into peeps.

Keep in mind that Swain is not only working the the Black Rose, he's a former member with close ties to the current LeBlanc. And I don't think they ever went away, as they were likely heavily involved in the fall of Boram Darkwill far before Swain came into the picture, back when Sion was first resurrected.

Darius: Primary "Good" force restoring noxus to what it's ideals proclaim Leblanc: Primary "Bad" force corrupting noxus

Interestingly, the main "Antagonists" of the inner Noxus story are mages.

Vladmir and Swain are clearly aligned closely with the black rose, while katarina is much less a fan of them, and Sion seems to be against the Rose, or atleast Boram was.

This puts a juxtaposition between the "heroic" warrior-race noxians and the "villainous" mage-politician ones.
