Is there any chance you will reveal a particular Champion's sexual orientation? Overwatch did it.

As you can see in the above Twitter post, Blizzard has no problem with this sort of thing. But is Riot still going to be all "don't ask, don't tell" and maintaining 100% ambiguity?

With how the story is being updated, I don't think that's the best of ideas. Having at least one or two non-straight Champions wouldn't be the worst thing to happen, and could make said Champions more believable and relatable. I could totally see Vi identifying as either lesbian or bisexual, and that wouldn't hurt her character at all, IMO.

I am just asking out of curiosity. I am not asking for Riot to produce any sexually explicit material.

EDIT: Wow, can we please stop circle-jerking here?

Well I mean they already have revealed past relationships for a number of champions, they're fine exploring that area:

Gangplank + Illaoi Camille + Hakim Azir + unnamed dead wife Varus + unnamed dead wife Lucian + Senna Ashe + Tryndamere

They've also shown sexual orientation beyond heterosexual people, as seen in Progress Day and Deep Breath.

The recurring theme is "does showing this make narrative sense at the time" and it did in all cases provided for the above. Whether they'll straight up confirm a champion's orientation is debatable, but they'd almost certainly only do it if they had already showcased that champion's sexuallity in a story before hand.

In my mind I don't really care whether Riot directly confirms a champion's sexuallity via "Word of God" so to speak since the idea of even giving a character someone who has their affections is indicative enough, but that's me talking from the perspective of a cis white brit lad, so y'know, I definetly don't speak for everyone there.

So basically, they've proven willing to explore such themes, but whether they'll outright confirm word of god style what a champion's sexuallity is is debatable.

I always hate it when people give so much of a f*ck about anyone's sexuality, and yes, this also goes for fictional characters. It literally adds nothing to the champion, and whenever someone forces this garbage it feels like it's just there so someone can tick a box on their diversity check list. "Tracer identifies as a lesbian", so what? Like, what now? Does this add to her story in any way, shape or form? Does this have any impact on her back ground? Such a meaningless phrase, thrown in there just to collect diversity points, it sickens me.
