Rakan and Xayah's bios are kinda short

Is the new format more emphasis on the short story now? Or was there simply not that much to tell ala Kindred?

We're looking to be more concise with the bios, dial in on the core nature of the Champ, and have a little more breathing room in the color to exemplify them.

i felt like Rakan is just a character that gives color to Xayah's presence and have no purpose of his own in the story...yet.

i mean his entire bio says one thing , he is a "charming" performer who see Xayah and fall in love with her. Xayah's background showed more of her purpose and character.

don't get me wrong i like this approach for sure. i just wish to learn more about who the characters are and what drives to be at the spot they are and do the things they do.

That's an approach I like: I read through all the new stories and bios so far and I prefer the color texts to the bios. I also think some bios are rich of drama and would be better in form of a story. Would you ever make a champ with a very short bio and two color texts, one about an important event in his past and one with the character as he is? Kinda like you did with the Demacia event and Lux, but shorter :) Lux is actually a good example: the whole parts where she befriends Kahina, and when she has to do with the Illuminators sound like good chances to show drama and character, but imo the bio format doesn't do them justice

yes exactly bios should focus more on telling who the champion is rather than telling stories of their past (which makes it even shorter) and short stories should explain their life story!

Despite giving this reasoning, I don't think they are that much shorter. Word-count wise they are pretty similar to others like Shyvana's. I think it's just because Xayah and Rakan's lore overlap, so when you read them they seem shorter lengths due to not as much new information being presented when compared to others.

Welp that sucks for me, I preferred the longer bios. Oh well, I'll get use to it.

I like the shorter bio for them and think it is a good direction for future bios. Because when we have bios like Quinn's bio for example (it is a good bio don't get me wrong), you tell very undetailed storyn of her and just tell us things about her. Not how it happened or making it feel exiting. It is much better this way because you tell us who they are some small storys and how they got to where they are now. I like Quinn's bio this was not meant to be a rant.

It feels more satisfying to get more storys to know about different events the champion have done, not one or two lines telling us what happened and deny us to get the thrill of that story but an actual story.

Long story short, don't spoil their life story in one sentens, make the bio shorter!

I loved Xayah's and Rakan's storys. It was hilairious to read it from boths perspective and see what they thought. I also like that their bios are telling us what we need to know and not making it too crouded.

There was an experiment this time around to see if folks would be integrate better with shorter bios as opposed to very long ones. There's more of this to come in the very near future.
