Fan Art?

Why is there a section for "Fan Art" and all I see if professionally done graphic art? Why the swerve? Why not just call it Riot professional art, so we don't think its really fan art?

Because these "professionally done graphic art" isn't made by riot,but by fans.

Just because something is done professionally doesn't mean it can't be from a fan.

As long as it's not made by the original creator, it's fan-made.

Not sure what you aren't understanding here. Of course not all fan art is that of a professional. I'm not a professional,but I could still make fan art for league.

But many real artists are also making fan arts and they do it professionally,like they would do any other of their works.

So fan art isn't necessarily professional,but it can be done professionally

I just think its misleading to say its fan art, and its professional art for league characters, I was expecting people to have done hobby sketches not such boring perfectly proportioned artwork that you see on comic book and cartoon teams.

They obviously want to show the best fan arts and in the end it would be unfair to not appreciate all that work that goes into the professionally made ones.

I want to see fan art from people who don't have a job in art, thanks. I want to see REAL fan art, not the developers artist professionals submitting their crap nobody will buy at comic con. Its not original, cool, interesting, or good art. That's like getting a bunch of professional basket ball players from the Warriors, Bulls, Lakers, and the Kings and having them play in all the street ball and city league basket ball games. Let people make art who play the game and don't do it professionally, its not good. I want to see people's actual fan art. not people with Jobs at Blizzard and Riot art.

Honestly your behavior is just disrespectful towards these artists. They pour hours into these pictures just because they like the game so much and want to make a cool picture of it and you discredit them as not "REAL fan art",because they put so much effort into it.

Wait I owe them because they spend time on "Fan Art"? Are you serious guy? What is your angle here? Why are you telling me I am in debt to these artists for the time they spend on their art that isn't impressive? I am saying all that effort for FAN ART is dumb, and we should get real fan art from fans, not professional artists, its misleading and a way to pimp these artists out. I don't care if they spend time, and why do you care so much? Do you use special software to make professional art and someone think its impressive? I don't think it is, and why don't you get off these guy's jocks man, you sound like a marked out fanboy.

Yeah, I understand this technical definition, but I am making my own specific point here. This is not what I would consider fan art, it should be called professional art or maybe Fan Art Style professional Art, because its misleading to give the impression that its us fans, the gamers that play, that are creating this art. Its clearly professionally done software enhanced artwork done on a computer, which doesn't really qualify as good real artwork. Its professional hack artwork for the game, and its not fun to look at it, its really boring actually, because you can just look at the real splash art for all the champs and get the same exact thing. Does that make sense?

Shouldn't fan art be drawn pictures of Bjergsen or Faker, since no one is a e sports fan for the champs, but they are fans of the players in the LCS right? Maybe its not something that would interest anyone, so no one is drawing those LCS nerds who play the game and broadcast on Twitch, but maybe I should be the one to start doing that kind of fan art hmm....
