I would love to see Miss Fortune's in-game and VOs changed one day to more accurately reflect what she is like in the lore. Don't get me wrong, I love Miss Fortune, but I personally find her backstory and lore visuals so much more compelling than her in-game experience leads on. Her blatant sexuality is by no means a bad thing, and MF wouldn't feel like MF without having some kind of sex-appeal aspect to her, but I would certainly love to see more of the bad-ass pirate queen we see her as in the lore. The new Cinematic that was released today is a brilliant example of the strong, relentless woman she is, rather than the chesty-bimbo we see waddling around in game. I know that there are dozens of champions who are in more desperate need of change than her right now, but we can dream, can't we?

I notice how in MF's segment, she's really silent. THen again it doesn't help that she's underwater. The point is Riot found a way to show off MF without having to use her current VO and I love it!

Now I'm with you and hope someday Riot would update her VO. Been waiting for that to happen since the Burning TIdes event.

That was her bounty hunter outfit where she played as the "femme fatale" she's really a captain now that Gangplank was overthrown, she has no need to wear it anymore because she has no reason to hide her true colors.

Sorry but you're wrong. I'm a MF main and scoured the boards for Red posts and the like when these questions were being asked. It was confirmed her current default skin is also her in real world default outfit. She wears her Cpt outfit when she's being a captain or has to make important business deals.

No, in all honesty it's just a boring skin, that fails in comparison to even her default, in my opinion, it is more of a gritty version of who she is and I personally am more a fan of the fun-loving M.F.

i love the Captain MF, it's a really nice model and to me the models are what matters the most. Has no animations besides the recall but the recall is one i too can appreciate. FU Gangplank orange.

Did Illaoi save Miss Fortune in the cinematic? The green tentacles protected her from the undead. Also you have to understand that Cinematic trailers will always look better than ingame footage there's nothing that can change that.

Why can't she be a bad ass pirate AND be comfortable with her sexuality? Just because she is flirtatious in game doesn't make her a bimbo. If anything immediately assuming that is the same as saying it's bad that anyone be able to express themselves that way. Unless it's the other way around and implying kick butt women can't be sexy while doing it.

Is being sexy part of her identity as a League champion? Yes, definitely. However, she can be sexy and still kick butt at the same time. They aren't mutually exclusive.

I'd love if she got an updated VO and i feel like it's extremely overdue. I definitely think that her current lines shouldn't be removed thought and instead having more added to her current VO. They could add a serious side of MF which we can see while she's walking but turns into a crazy bounty hunter when she's attacking someone to hide her true appearance. I feel like all she needs is something to be added instead of removed. The sexy bounty hunter mask is important to her character but it's just that the other side of her is missing in game. Also i hope they NEVER change her laugh. That shit needs to stay the same forever.

The laugh I agree with. That can stay.

Everything else needs to be removed entirely. She's a farce in terms of her vocals, and none of her current lines have any business in the game after her current transition into this badass, cutthroat pirate exterminator and current queen-to-be of Bilgewater that the lore is making her out to be. All of her current lines are nothing but whorish tropes that were fine when she was created - because she was just a female pirate-stripper trope back then - but not anymore with the actual serious direction that the game is taking away from being just a collection of goofy stereotypes.

And while they're at it, they can update her rigging too. I'm not pleased with Miss Fortune still having this antiquated 2010 rigging that doesn't have fully fleshed out animations, has clipping issues in certain poses due to the size of her pistols, and not having a properly looping dance. The new idle animation for SG Miss Fortune was a fantastic start, but that needs to be folded into her base model and the rest of her animations need to be completely updated. Only then will it be adequate to say that she's had a proper VU.

Again, i don't think it needs to be removed as much as it needs to be updated. I can agree that the lines are kinda old but they can be updated instead of removed. She's still suppose to have that side of her, the mask that she used to to GP. I just hope they don't change her voice. Sadly, i believe that they probably will since the voice actress is unknown to us and it's taking forever to update her VO.

I never understand these threads, I like both versions and would greatly hate it if they took any of them out, I would pref RIOT to look for a balance between both these forms than to be forced to choose

But they’re two different forms for one character with a singular identity (as opposed to Kayn, one character with two identities). It creates this split between who MF actually is, because the character she’s represented as isn’t the character you play in game.

But it is a form of her, and was even who she actually was before the lore update, and as much as I don't want to impose the "its my head cannon why can't RIOT make it official" I still don't want them to change it entirly, I want them to find a mix of the fun loving MF who cares for all, and her grittier self in the lore, especially since I don't really like how her arc is shaping in the lore, willing to kill those that oppose her even though that is exactly what GP did, finding lack of choice in the matter or even worse a lack of pursite of choice, she tried once it failed and now she just up, no M.F., in my opinion, would still try to make bilgdewater better with other options she is incredibly smart and calculating, as shown in her plan with GP, so why stop.

M.F's path is going the same as GP, and I really dislike that, since she was the heart of Bildgwater, the warmth of the city that would sell their mother for a silver serpent, that is how she got so many of her crew, all believing in her yet as they are shaping it, it can only lead to disaster.

I still want to believe that she won't become GP and that's why I need them to find a mix of her at the moment and her lore, cause her lines give me the feeling that she still has good, and likes to play around, not just someone that will become part of the corruption of the city.

Now again, I can't say some of my ideas of who M.F. is integrated there, but can you blame me, I have been playing her for so long, she has been the only ADC, I actually enjoyed, with the position being my most hated, she managed to make it fun, and has become around my 3rd most played champ, I am actually invested in her so its hard to let go.

M.F. is a character that I feel will change Bildgwater, but she won't by becoming GP. but by being the warmth of it, her hair turned red when GP shot her mom, and to many that can mean vengeance, violence, and anger, but it can also mean warmth and passion, two elements that were in her original design and that I hope they keep.

I, for one, am totally fine with how she appears in-game right now. There's nothing oversexualised about her appearance. Well... compared to some other champions, that is. And besides, it fits lore - wise.

Anyway, the way Riot portraits her later is pretty much generic and boring. Especially that cinematic from couple of months ago. And if they EVER plan to do VU (hopefully not), i hope it wont be that way.

You’re absolutely entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but she is indisputably one of the most hyper specialized characters in the game. I would actually say she’s the second most hyper sexualized female character in League, only taking a backseat to Evelynn. Everything from the way she walks to her voice lines to her in-game model to her splash art screams sex, which by the way isn’t inherently a bad thing, but to say that there isn’t anything sexual about her is very incorrect. Other female champions (aside from Evelynn) might also be scantily clad (which is an entirely separate discussion), but the theme of sex doesn’t carry through the rest of the character quite as much like it does with MF.

I, personally, would just like to see her in-game character evolve more into the pirate queen we seen the lore.

Thats why ive said "compared to some other champions". Some of them still wear a bikini armor, or a stripper outfit. Which is straight out vulgar, compared to MissFortune 's outfit. For example, other than Evelynn (that is succubus, so it kind of makes sense as well) we also have champions like Morgana Caitlyn Leblanc that are just scantily clad for no other reason, other than that. Which i am perfectly fine with, but i can see why would people want VGU for them. Unlike for Miss Fortune, that DOES have a sexuality and seductiveness as a part of official lore, same as Evelynn.

You do realize that her Classic splash and VO is an act that she puts on? So it is apart of her character. Captain Fortune is when she is on her ship and dealing with serious business.

People always underestimate the loud sex appeal and let things slip they shouldn't or don't take them seriously.

It’s not an underestimation of sex, by any means. As an example, I think the new design of Evelynn is fantastic! The level of sexuality with new Evelynn is a core feature of character that runs through her in game model, VOs, splash arts, and lore. She as a character uses sex as a weapon with a very specific purpose.

Miss Fortune is very different. In-game model, VOs, and splash we get this (almost as nude as Evelynn) pirate girl, but in lore we have a tireless pirate queen that will stop at nothing to avenge her parents and take down Gangplank. Everyone in Bilgewater knows her name, so sex isn’t a blind force she can ~~lure ~~(edit: manipulate) people in with (because they, likely, already know who she is), in constrast to Evelynn whom is an unknown force of darkness who preys on people, only spoken of in tale. Evelynn can lure people to there death because they don’t know who she is or what she’s capable of.

Miss Fortune is a pirate queen, one who fought for and (at one point) took control of Bilgewater by her own hand. There’s nothing wrong with her using her looks as part of her way to manipulate people, but I just don’t see that as being one of the core values of her character (like they are for Evelynn).

I wasn't saying it was a core view, just that it is a part of her character. As Placentas said up above her classic look is confirmed as her everyday outfit and her captain look is for important business deals.

On the note of her Classic VO she wasn't always the pirate queen, that didn't happen until the Burning Tides event. So her act was a perfectly viable one before that to benefit her plans with no one being aware it was an act. Its even canon that she acted like that, go back and read the burning tides event story. There was a bar scene with her being a boisterous party girl before she was signaled it was time for the plan. She then left and dropped the act away from the masses.

Also I said nothing about luring them in with sex, just that she used her looks and act to appear nonthreatening as she plied them with alcohol. And we all know that alcohol and a pretty face loosens lips.

I think your issue is that you are ignoring everything that was before the conclusion of the Burning Tides event, even though there was canon confirmation during the event of her classic look and VO.

If I recall, Riot already has plans to update her VO. Don't know when it will happen, but I do remember seeing somewhere that they are actually working on it, or are trying to.

A new walking animation would suit most of her skins.

The current shimmy cycle works for Secret Agent (Jessica Rabbit), Arcade and Candy Cane but not any of her other badass skins.

The walk cycle is really the issue with her base and other skins and I too would like to see a more appropriate walk for the skins that actually are more serious!
