No PROJECT or Pool Party skins this summer... :(

Is anyone else really bummed that we didn't seen any new PROJECT or Pool Party skins this summer? I understand that Riot can only create so many skins per year, but these both seemed like very successful skin lines (especially PROJECT with all the additional merch). I'd be interested in hearing why these skins didn't make the cut for this year's new releases.

Why do you guys think there were no new PROJECT or Pool Party skins this year? Who would you want to see receive these skins in the future?

Simple, they wanted to put those skinlines on a hiatus while giving some love to other skinlines & creating new ones. That way, they can come back to the skinline with a much bigger event & the hype will be even stronger.

It's nice to have a break from them tbh. Too much of a good thing and it gets a bit stale.

Same with the Star Guardian skins, if too many are released, it doesn't feel special anymore. Which is why I hope they don't release new Star Guardian skins unless it's like a villain or something.

I was sad initially but then thought about it and was kind of glad. Really, if they were to keep doing them each and every year it'd get a bit stale and just have wayyyyyy too many skins. So, taking a year or so off gives them a chance to look into some other really great themes.

Project are not a yearly release anyway but Pool Party should have happened, they literally made a full design of Pool Party Tryndamere on Fiora's splash art including tatoos, outfit and weapon

I don't mind there not being any PROJECT: skins this year, kind of sad about pool party but it's alright. We'll probably get some cool Winter Skins.

They probably just wanted a break to explore other possible lines. I mean 2 years and 2 full lineups for pool party and project. That's a little fast don't ya think?
