Watching Sylas invade Demacia makes me wonder if they'd have any chance against Noxus at all.

Literally this.

A bunch of Freljordians (albeit Iceborn) with the help of a rather newcomer in Sylas is giving Demacians a run for their money. Granted we haven't seen some of the other top dogs such as Fiora or Vayne come to light yet, but even with rather experienced warriors in Xin Zhao, Jarvan, and Garen, these guys hardly seem to stand any chance and it's a fucking joke that they had to pull out Galio, their last resort of a trump card in the cinematic against Sylas.

(It was fucking cool to watch Galio in a music video not gonna lie).

I can at thsi point confidently say that if Noxus decided send their army to invade Demacia the kingdom wouldn't stand a chance against the rather battle hardened warriors, especially with Sion who can pretty much only be stopped by Galio and Swain sitting at the top, I don't think Demacia has anything on Noxus at this point.

And here I thought a Demacia vs Noxus scenario was going to be an exciting battle.

Sylas knew a back way in, and through that backway slipped a small frejlordian warband. Not to insult the majority of Noxus war parties, but I think A frejlord group has a much higher success rate in this due to the stealth advantage. Despite that Lux and Garen still managed to get there for a response (Whether the soldiers shown are Dauntless Vanguard or just common soldiers idk). A large Noxus force would be met with a large and prepared Demacian force.

A common Demacian soldier is still better trained and disciplined than a common Noxus soldier. You probably need to go up to a Trifarix soldier to even approach the training and discipline of someone in the Dauntless Vanguard.

If Noxus takes control of the Frejlord then they could probably use numbers tactics in addition to passes through the mountains in order to pressure Demacia into defeat, but at the moment they have to get through a well fortified front that is always under watch. If you look at the map you'll see that Noxus basically has to go through the three mountain passes (all of which are also split by rivers). So they lose their massive army bonus if they ever try to take Demacia. Evident by some of the narrative and the map; Demacia also pushes Noxian control back away from it's borders without taking control of the towns, cities, and kingdoms themselves.

  1. The Demacians there were just the garnison for the outpost as far as it looks like
  2. Iceborns. Those fuckers are superhuman like cmon no shit they were winning. And they came from the Winterclaw who is like the harshest tribe in Freljord. As a reference, Darius only managed to pull off a stalemate in Freljord and his son supposedly fucking died there.
  3. Per average a Demacian soldier would still equal like 5 Noxian soldiers. An Iceborn would do the same.

Imagine a Demacia vs Noxus actually happening Imagine actual events, even night and dawn was dumbed down into not even being able to play for one side and just skin releases Imagine content in this game

I mean Morgana is also hiding somewhere in Demacia and I dare assume she would act if she felt Demacia couldn't stand for themselves. But well who knows

Well the issue is that this was a town or fortress outside of the City of Demacia, rather north somewhere and it seems like Lux and Garen went there to defend it because they seemingly knew Sylas would go there. They did struggle but there was no other big players there like Xin or Shyv and for the enemies too, no Sejuani or Udyr. Makes me wonder what happened with that and why Sejuani did not go with Sylas, she is possibly less stupid than I anticipated. Sylas is leading them to die, he only cares about his own survival and he is using the WC for man power, nothing else. Maybe stupid Sejuani noticed that but I doubt it. Ashe is even worse than her, no wonder they cant get shit done.

arenr the Frejlord barbarians the same barbarians, who with nothing near the discipline of an army or the numbers, have been holding back both Demacia and Noxus forever now?

the fact they now have someone with knowledge of demacian military leading them (and the winter claw) makes it even worse for Demacia

But Sylas was not invading Demacia....

Things are always shaped depending on the situation. For example Demacia. They wanted to start a narrative progression with it. So they twisted Demacia into being the equivalent of Nazi Germany. And there is the plot device Sylas doing what he did. The Demacian's lost like 98% of their brain cells and we have lore progression, a comic now a cinematic and novel, oh wait. Here they wanted to show a cool moment between Sylas and Demacia so they bumped up Sylas' side to they could crush the Demacians. Then the tides turn and they are ready to fight again in full power. Similar to last year's cinematic Jhin easily could have made a simple pew and Camille would be dead but that wouldn't result in that shot that currently is the background of these boards.
