Title: The Grand Duelist
''I have come to kill you for the sake of honor. And though you possess none, you will die just the same.''
The most feared duelist in all of Valoran, Fiora is as renowned for her indomitable will and haughty pride as she is for her skill with the blade. She was born to Demacia's House Laurent, a once-proud family whose reputation was tarnished by the actions of her father. In an unprecedented move, Fiora challenged him to single combat and, upon winning, took control of House Laurent. Defying the Demacian establishment, she has set about restoring the reputation and pride of her family name, one duel at a time.

Title Change: Mistress of the Blade
"I have come to kill you for the sake of honor. And though you possess none, still you die.''
The most feared duelist in all Valoran, Fiora is as renowned for her brusque manner and cunning mind as she is for the speed of her bluesteel rapier. Born to House Laurent in the kingdom of Demacia, Fiora took control of the family from her father in the wake of a scandal that nearly destroyed them. House Laurent's reputation was sundered, but Fiora bends her every effort to restore her family's honor and return them to their rightful place among the great and good of Demacia.
One of the biggest appeals to me for Fiora has always been how the Mistress of the Blade Grand Duelist has been one of the odd balls of Demacia. Namely that this is a Demacian who belongs to nobility but seems to have more of a selfish motivations, the need to prove herself and to restore the status and power of her house, rather than it being tied to glory of Demacia.
This thread isn't about the title because there is a thread for that already. I will say I don't like it. It has less to do with the fact that it's an old title and opposing change and more about why the title doesn't feel appropriate.
My question is. Why are we replacing haughty ( arrogantly superior and disdainful ) with cunning ( Ingenious. ingenuity ). Or the senseless tack on of " rightful place among the great and good of Demacia." into her biography?
Call it a knee jerk reaction if you want, but I feel pretty strongly about maintaining a character that has always come across as being more gray and with an attitude that clashes.
I'm against what I perceive to be conforming her to be more like the other Demacian's among the roster.
TLDR: Fiora's motivations being rewritten to be less selfish and her attitude more bearable. Not fond of the change.
