Best Voiceover for 2017?

So in 2017 we went through many new skins, champions, and reworks. Id like to hear the communities opinions on the best VO. The VO that you can immediately tell who and what that person is just from their VO.

Edit: I think PF caitlyn because when you hear her VO you can immediately tell what kind of person she is. You can tell shes a sassy, somewhat arrogant, determined woman whos GOING to get what she came for.

Hmm, honestly, after the exceptional eloquence of Jhin and the crazed energy of Kled this year seems a little lacking as far as VOs go.

The voice work of Urgot is exceptional, but the actual dialogue was pretty standard “fear me, I’m evil with a funky ideology that kind of justifies it but really really doesn’t.”

The most interesting thing about Kayn/Rhaast is the interplay which ends halfway through the game.

Eve’s a bunch of innuendo. Not even particularly good ones.

Less said about Zoe, Galio, and the two lovers ripped out of a teen dystopia novel the better.

I’m gonna go with Ornn. Understated but surprisingly hilarious. And a personality archetype we haven’t had since Old!Poppy.

Rakan in first and Kayn (Rhaast) in second place for me. Nightbringer Yas was the best of the skin ones.

My top overall best VO are Ornn, Eve, Urgot and Kayn (specifically Rhaast)

Ornn is almost a perfect copy of my personality, Evelynn is just a slew of sexual innuendos and I love it, Urgot managed to keep some of his more famous/iconic voice lines and sounds terrifying, and Rhaast is just fun with how much he obsesses over slaughter and mayhem and has a few funny lines as well (Kayn himself and SA are alright)

As a runner up, Nightbringer would of made my list but there's just something about Liam O'Brien doing that similar voice for Illidain from WoW and War from Darksiders that couldn't make me put him on the list.

Rakan, but I am kinda biased because his German VO is done by the same person that does the Champion Spotlights.

Where's Warwick?

I think the depth of Xayah/ Rakan's interactions and VO is noteworthy; so many layers of their personality are brought to light. Humor, snark, passion, vision, anger, wonder, hope. On the other hand Jhin and Kled are caricatures.

Evelynn is intriguing to me because her voice lines, movements and attitudes try to mimic what she believes will seduce her victims. She could come across as sex appeal for the sake of sex appeal but she has pretty jarring lines that remind you that what she is is something much more sinister. When playing against an Evelynn nothing sums her VO lines like her charm lines that she punctuates with an evil cackle when the charm is cooked meanwhile she lurks somewhere nearby in the dark SO GOOD.

They were all pretty good imo. But I think Ornn and Rhaast take the cake for me. Ornn because he sounds so indifferent and annoyed to have to talk, which basically mirrors his lore and Rhaast because he's just generally funny and somehow pulls off talking like a saturday morning cartoon villain while still seeming like a threat. Gonna give all the VGU voiceovers a honorable mention though, from a design and VO perspective the VGUs are getting better and better, kit and balance is always debateable though. Excited what the Grand General himself will bring to the table as the first VO of 2018.

As much as I still think Kayn is an edgelord, the banter between him and Rhaast is great.

Between that and Eve's sultry voice and sexual innuendos, it's a tough fight.
