New Evelynn skin question

I saw the new Evelynn skin and it looks nice. Does it reuse the old rig? I remember people saying she wasn't going to get a new skin until her rig got fixed.

Honestly, I'm not sure I really want another Evelynn skin if they're really only putting her in a new outfit. I mean, it looks great, don't get me wrong, but it seems so pointless to have what will now be four skins where she has no new visual effects, animation changes, or even a new line or two beyond her only joke and only taunt.

Don't get me wrong, I think Evelynn's effects would look great if they did a Icicle Evelynn and a Blademistress Evelyn... Ironstylus, please ask the new champ team to do both when you do her rework... but she needs something new. At this point let's just let riot move forward with a lower price skin and wait until after the rework for new stuff like Bridezilla Evelynn that beats you up with flowers.

I do agree that she needed a new skin. And it looks so refreshing, too. Even her goofy, gravity-defying hairstyle. :) It certainly gives us something to look forward to when her VU finally comes, though. In fact, it's almost surreal for me how good it looks on her existing model (given that I kinda hate her giant feet :x ).

But really, I'm probably just way too impatient with the VUs they still have to catch up on. /:

Yes. One thing I've noticed is that a good texturer can make up for the lack of a quality model at least some times. Take GW1. It's old and is starting to show it, but despite the models, it aged relatively well for the time period. Are they up to today's standards? Nope. Do they still look okay despite the lower poly count? Yep. Not perfect but okay.

I think you have good points here, and I will use your passage to launch my thoughts.

I think that Evelynn's abilities are not very flashy and do not lend themselves extremely well to particle changes. That said, I hope the design team surprises me one day.

In general, one thing I am very happy about with this batch of releases is that there are skins less than 1350 in them. It just seems that there has not been such a release in a while.

I agree that she doesn't have the flashiest abilities but, at the very least, they might be able to make different colors for the spikes?

And it is interesting (and great!) that they're releasing some cheaper skins. I can see plenty of pressure to make flashier skins with how cool they look and how fun they are, on top of how popular they can be. I'm certainly not helping relieve any of that pressure, though. Oops. :x

Yes, it's on the old rig. We didn't want to block what happens to be a really cool theme for her just because we don't have the VU complete.

Thank you for responding, it does look very good and I think the theme works great for her. The raccoon thief twitch was also a nice job as were the two constable skins.

Yeah it does. As Diahane mentioned before me Ironstylus and other Rioters have already come forward to say "You know what, screw it. It's been 4 YEARS. Let's alteast give her something we can work with."

Also as a reference, the skin is priced at 750 RP currently.
