So what happened to Kassadin and his daughter when they entered another dimension?

Kassadan. Judging from Sol's lore, there is a hive mind in the Void. How in the world did Kassadan survive that ordeal of being in a different dimension filled with terrible creatures seemingly controlled by one thing. He was pulled in and came out using the same power they have. Clarity on that would definately be appreciated. I got extremely interested in that.

Also, it appears Kassadan's daughter is assumed to be in the same predicament as the pre-retcon lore; a sacrafice thrown in by Malzahar. How is she fairing in there? Is death different in that dimension?. Is the same voice that was calling Malzahar that same entity from the Void? Aurelion Sol's lore forged many questions but my attention is on the void, as it's literally a universal problem. Kinda reminds of the Flood from the Halo series.

Kassadin entering the Void, even briefly, probably totally screwed him up. It's mentioned that even looking at it can drive you insane.

He's human, but his skin is extremely discolored, and he has that helmet he didn't before, meaning he probably needs that to even breathe. And he only spent a brief time there. He's never mentioned what happened exactly, but that it's now his only mission in life to stop it, so whatever it was was likely pretty dire.

We know pretty much nothing about his daughter beyond what you mentioned. Malzahar seemed to think what he was doing was a FAVOR to Kassadin, incidentally: (“Brother! Enlightened Walker of the Path! Join us!”, JOJ 14 ) So it's certainly not confirmed she's dead, Malzahar's ritual might have kept her alive, although maybe not in the same...form. That story's never been elaborated on, but a lot of fans were into the idea of a Void-Touched Kassadin's Daughter being a champion, maybe converted by Malzahar or whatever.

We don't know what the voices Malzahar heard were, but it's highly implied that whoever Malzahar used to be is long gone. To quote his lore real quick: "Standing alone, but not alone, amidst the echoing dunes, he noticed the familiar voice escape his own lips in a parched rasp,". So whatever was calling Malzahar is probably at least partially controlling his actions now, he could be interpreted as more of a puppet body. Again, though, that's all implication, nothing concrete.

The Void is one of those things in League Lore that really isn't set in stone, and sometimes doesn't seem to make a ton of sense (Why can they all speak fine but Rek'sai?), but that's sort of the charm of it. It's very much the whole HP Lovecraft "elder gods" gimmick.

Kassadin already got his visual update so its not likely that we will hear about him or his lore again lol

She fought to survive, grafted living void creatures to her body, survived years in hell, and finally found a way to rip a hole in the void and escape.

I assume she's back to help her father and kill Malzahar. Though with his play rate, he's probably dead enough. Lol
