The Ruined King's Lore is More Complete Than...

Fiddlesticks Jax LeeSin Shaco Zilean And we still have no idea who the hell he is! [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Also, I don't get why unlinking all of the champions from the League of Legends wasn't and still isn't the lore team's top priority. Lee Sin and Zilean have a rich backstories that simply got blown apart by the removal of summoners and the League.

Im pretty convinced that he is the Male Altar from Twisted Treeline.

Zilean's back story barely relies on the Institute of War. All the Institute does is prevent his detached retina of the mind's eye from making him an invalid, the rest of his story exists outside of the League. It won't ruin him or his rich story to mildly modify the part that still uses the old lore.

The lore department is terrible IMO. League's lore was never really great but it at least tried to be unique and kinda fit within the pretext of the game itself. Now it just seems like everything they put out is either established generic cliches or whatever is popular. It feels like is has no soul.

Same with the designs of the champions recently. The animations are usually okay given the static nature of the physics, but whenever I see a new champ come out it just looks like a lazy cliche I've seen half a hundred times.

Those are just opinions though.

Okay, I'm sorry, I don't want to start an argument, but Lee's old lore didn't make any sense. Granted, he doesn't have any lore now (other than Udyr), but still.

Anyway, about your first thing, I personally don't believe that the Ruined King himself is that important. His actions had a great impact, but it's not important that we ever learn "who the hell he is." That's just my opinion tho.
