Eh, I don't think that's gonna be the best way to go anymore. As we saw with Illaoi's results, there were still alot of people that disliked the decision made. So, whose to say that the same thing wouldn't happen for any other champion?

Could be the same like with the Varus lore change. Majority of people here in the boards are pissed, but that's because people are voicing negative experiences way more than positive.

The Varus lore still seems to be a success, since they got alot of positive feedback on Twitter for example. Could be the same here, just because the boards had a negative tone doesn't mean that it wasn't a huge success.

I don't think the skin vote really added anything positive. People just want good skins for niche champions, showing them a bunch of extra skins they won't actually see for even longer and then watching Jhin get two skins in two months makes it feel even worse.

I enjoyed the event and was pretty excited to see the winner.

Additionally they stated that they will show stuff from the making process, which will be interesting. I hope they continue to do votes in the future, I know it's frustrating for the people who supported a not winning skin, but the same goes for the VS event, yet it seemed pretty successful.

Well we don't know if they don't already have a skin for him in the works.

I mean a chinese dragon skin based on his initial concept Ao shin would make sense and could be done for the lunar revel(even if we don't have the year of the dragon next year)

Seeing how riots fanbase is just edgy teens this isn't a good idea since idiots who don't play sol will get a say in it and tilt the vote to whatever is edgy like the Ill vote

They even showed that majority of Illaoi mains voted for Battlecast as well...

And keep in mind, skins can be a reason for people to start playing a champion as well.
