Its been bugging after seeing Kayn's login that assassin Kayn would target Ashe (someone from the Freljord) over a Noxian. I keep wondering if this would be somewhat lore related and what reason would Zed/Kayn/Ionia have to want to get involved in Freljord when Noxus presents a bigger and more immediate threat to them.
Ebonmaw Dragon5 votesIm pretty sure that those logins are not canon, at all.... they are more related to the gameplay of each "form": Shadow Assasin is an assasin who kills squishy ADCs like Ashe and the Darkin is more of a tank fighter who fights against other tanks fighters like Sion and Darius (he also can take more damage, so he is fighting against 2 characters instead of 1).

They might not be canon situations, but that doesn't mean they are not potential futures. Rhaast wants a blood bath, and Noxus is well known for it's strength, so him seeking out worthy opponents is not a far stretch at all.
The other login is odd, which is why the OP brought it up.

I edited the post explaining why Riot shows Ashe instead of... lets say Swain. Also, because of the color palette of the characters... The Shadow Assasin is more "blue", so, picking a character with ice powers fits better than a character like Draven. And the Darkin is more red, so picking noxians, who have a lot of red in their clothes and blood in their abilities, make sense as well.
Basically, they selected those characters based arround who are the "victims" of each form in the game (Assasin vs ADC and Tanks(Top maybe?) vs Tanks(Top as well)) and the colors of the characters (Blue and Red). I mean... how many other adcs would look good in that blue login screen? Tristana? Maybe Jinx?... i dont think so.
EDIT: Actually... is even more easy to explain: Shadow Assasin needs ranged victims and Darkin needs melee victims, so, each login shows a character based on the thing that they need to kill to reach that form in game. (and the colors, that is important anyways)

GreenLore1 votesWell Ivern travelled from the freljord to ionia,so it is likely that the 2 factions interact from time to time,but I doubt that Ionia sees the freljord as a major threat(though freljordan raiders might attack individual towns from time to time). The freljord is currently divided into different tribes,so it would stand no chance against a massive nation like ionia.

FurriesAreHot1 votesSomeone made a map of Runeterta based on a fuck load of lore and stuff, and it’s theorized Iona is pretty far away from the Freljord. It’s also unlikely an ice wasteland with a few tribes is a treat.
