Azir and Amumu, what could be the bond between them?

With the recent Xerath lore update, we somehow learn that the emperor seat was pass in the same family in the Shurima desert.

Amumu seems to be from a high lineage (he was mummified and put in some magical pyramid^^), could it be possible that he is an ancestor (or descendant) of azir? As he is (for now) a yordle, answer yes would be weird.

So , what is Amumu? For me there is 2 options for him.

  • The simple one is that the emperor seat bring some war during valoran history and family change from times to times, amumu being part of one of them.

  • -The other option would be that the Shurima empire work with noble family acting as vassal to cover all the desert, amumu being from one of that family. If we take the yordle direction, that city on the valoran map is most likely near bandle city, so it could be either in the voodoo land (explain why he is back to life) or Icathia (before the city fall to the void thing) That option could also bring some light on Sivir history, if a noble family had some bond with the emperor family (harem/blood relative/hidden love), that would explain how some of them escape the ascension tragedy.

What do you think about those two, are there other possibilities left?

Ascension is described as a risky ritual. Maybe sometimes it doesn't turn out so well.

Officially speaking he isn't a yordle anymore. And they're not likely to change that back, as it really was just an unnecessary convolution of his character concept, so no reason to explore that option in my opinion. As for me, I've had a sort of story in my head which would explain Amumu, if I ever have the time to crack it out, I'll post it here.

Maybe he is a son/descendant of Azir that died but was resurrected when Azir started resurrecting Shurima? Just a random guess..
