As Kayle skin will be worked on during her rework, should riot "crimson Akali" unmasked Kayle

Hi all

Now the we know Kayle rework is on it's way, we can start having some speculation about the future of her many skin. (futur of judgment kayle now that tribunal is forever gone for exemple)

One of them in particular have an extremelly outdated theme that was used a lot of time after that for the champ. I mean, since unmasked Kayle, we had eather wing, battleborn, pentakill and to a lesser extent judgement and riot kayle who didn't used the full mask/helmet which, by doing that, step into what make unmasked kayle fantasy is supposed to be.

As, even with a visual rework, making that skin shine in regard to the other will be hard, maybe riot should just apply the crimson akali/human ryze treatment and give it a "brand new" fantasy.

The only problem with that is the fact they still need the new concept to not move too far away from the original one (can't turn it into void kayle for exemple) Something like battle damaged kayle where it's not only her helmet but the armor being cracked too could work for me but I'm sure there is a lot of room for improving that particular skin.

I kinda want to know how the story, art & sound member feel about that skin. -Should riot change the skin concept? -If so what theme could fit for it?

Kayle’s Helmet should be toggleable on her base skin. Like Aatrox’s wings.

Unmasked Kayle should become unarmored Kayle. Where she wears a more angelic robe-like costume.

Best way to distinguish them in my opinion. Those who want an armored but without helmet Kayle still get her. And the skin gains a purpose and distinctive design.

I mean, Crimson Akali went from red ninja who looked like Taki to Infernal and the only thing they roughly shared in common was the color red - otherwise, the theme shifted dramatically. I think Kayle has a LOT of skins that will go the Crimson->Infernal Route, such as Silver (which was the RARE LE skin you got with a hard copy of the collector's edition), Viridian, and of course, Unmasked. I'm not sure which way Silver would go, since it's an absurdly rare and absurdly special case, so I don't see it being one of the usual skin lines. Viridian I can see going down the Elderwood line, or somehow folding to meet the elegance of Emerald Taric, or possibly becoming a "good" version of Morgana's Blackthorn skin. Unmasked is tricky. It's a blank slate, so it could go anywhere. I'm not even sure where it could go.

Unmasked, Silver and Viridian are all ones that should have their themes looked at and either redone or expanded upon as they could be more or filled with something new.

Actually, I would prefer it more if they "Human Ryze" the skin rather than "Crimson Akali." I'm not certain on what her lore is going to be like after her rework, but I'd imagine that Unmasked can easily be reworked into a "Young Kayle" skin in a sense, maybe even "Human Kayle" if she actually ends up being a celestial being.

This is of course assuming Kayle will even has a helmet on her base skin. Full helms aren't good for expressing character because you can't see the eyes and face and that makes it harder to empathize.

Kayle and Morgana will be the most radically changed champions from a Visual standpoint because their old designs are rerally generic and out of date. Wings, armor, helmet everything is up for deletion.

Yes, definitely give it a new theme. I don't know what, battle damaged sounds kinda cool. Maybe make it like, Zero-Suit Kayle.

I think it’d be pretty rad if they did that, it’d be a little difficult to explore since unlike other old skins it isn’t even a recolor, just one less model aspect, but i think it has great potential and if nothing else it’d be neat to see new Kayle without her mask

Personally, the only reason I keep playing Kayle is because of how absurd her unmasked skin is. I find it so charming and unique that removing this skin/changing it to something better would be just blank and dissapointing. There is only one character who received such a lazy change in its skin design, and it's Kayle. Changing the way this skin works would be like making a 1800 RP skin worth 520 RP for everyone, even though someone bought it at a full price. Please, let us have our ridiculous skin, only one, only that one.

Add better armor and helmets to all of her other skins. Make unmasked the only one showing her face. Done.

I think completely changing it would be better, seeing as it changes nothing and was only created to show people that Kayle is in fact a woman back when it was still unclear if she was.

They also need to change Silver and Viridian Kayle as well.
