New Poppy is a little too...girly?

The little giggle when she picks up her buckler...and the super blonde hair are the worse of it. She's really not selling the whole 'little ball of iron death' thing.

Kit looks interesting though. Guess the kit's the more important part, but was really disappointed with the visuals/VO. Maybe I'll get used to it..

Anyone else like/hate new Poppy?

They effectively Trundled her. This new character might be a great character, but she isn't Poppy. At best, she's some kind of "prequel Poppy" who will one day grow into Poppy, after however many years of lore delay.

EDIT: I've now had a chance to listen to the VO myself. I have to say—I'm pleasantly surprised. She sounds like Poppy to me, albeit a youthful Poppy. I could see this character growing into Poppy.

I do think they wanted to avoid her personalty to be too similar to Illaoi.

Overall I think that "adorkable" was what they were going for.

I agree that she lost some seriousness, but I'd say the change isn't as big as for example Trundle or Sions reworks.
